i wonder if it was Anthrocon that started the whole "vaccinated or no entry" bullshit among the furry con scene...i mean its not a surprise to me they're doing shit like this...since it seems people in positions of leadership in the furry fandom just HAVE to mirror every radical far-left ideology they can, as if thats what the whole community is...but ever since the Moronic variant its clear vaccine passes dont really carry the same weight they do anymore, it would seem much more logical to simply make people show a negative test for admission (regardless if they're vaccinated or not). i definitely think a negative test holds more weight now, post-Moronic

heh, i doubt this issue will make ANY kind of news though...mostly cuz leftist sources will assume all furries are as radical as they are and therefore not even realize that this is an issue in the first place...and conservative sources will take one look at furries and immediately associate them with the far-left (since that seems to be the stereotype these days) and not cover them any farther. i could be wrong though...when it comes to covid related issues conservative media is way more honest about things than leftist media, they might be willing to look past the bizarre public image furries have to cover a valid injustice created by the covid-cult! will keep an eye out for any articles right or left that emerge about this topic ^^

I'm not really sure, but when they originally brought up their social distancing nonsense before cancelation (and first virtual event) back in 2020, I was all worried. I didn't take that long however to wake up to the whole reality of the situation and I just had to resort to doing other things. it would be better if cons made people show a negative test for admission rather than a vaccine card (making even the vaccinated be tested for admission) numbers of infections would probably be lower if they did this than only allowing the vaccinated to attend.

and that is a perfectly valid reason not to receive a covid vaccination...yet somehow these people are being treated like the scum of the earth because they simply didnt bite the bullet and take the shots no matter how dangerous it was to them...this is an unscientific and openly hostile approach towards inoculation, the CDC and WHO and everybody passing laws forcing people to take medicine they do not want should be ashamed of their barbaric behavior. and they wonder why so many people are distrustful of the vaccines...yeah, its THAT attitude they've chosen to adopt, and force everybody in power to adopt for the sake of appearing politically correct. safe and effective or not, this attitude of, "get the shot you dumbass or i'll make your life a living hell!" is REALLY not going to age well. people who speak in this vernacular are typically the Baddies and/or the Oppressors

me neither. i dont really have a medical/religious reason not to get one, its just everybody i know who has gotten the Mrna shots have gotten really sick and have really bizarre reactions that i dont remember from any of the shots i got in grade school. i dont feel like taking a medicine that is this early in its development, sorry but i dont want to be a guinea pig that isnt even able to sue the manufacturers if i end up with some life-long debilitation if i have a negative reaction to it. that, and the attitude thats been forming around the act of receiving a covid shot...REALLY rubs me the wrong way. its so coercive, divisive, and frightening to me that yeah...i simply dont feel like taking it, why are they being so aggressive about it? if they had released these shots to the public and not done ANY kind of coercion and let the numbers rise/fall as they may...i think more people would have ended up taking the shots in the long run...but this push to FORCE people to take it? yeah...big surprise! people are gonna get suspicious and fight back. i know i have...but i do admit, out of all the shots available, the J&J one seems like the most logical since its the closest to an old-school non-Mrna vaccine available (its what my parents took and they had no reactions at all, one and done) will i get it though? probably not...if the faults of the whole world are destined to be put on the shoulders of people who chose not to take a certain medicine, than so be it, i'll help bear that weight cuz i know i wont be alone

I was going to mention going to AC 2017 which was the last time I went to AC and the first time I dressed up as Owen. Just me and a very few other suiters are just pioneers in bringing "planesuiters" to cons. It's not a excactly a new idea since some airlines did that before us with plane-like mascots at special events and it's just like how regular sports mascots inspired furries.

I even let everyone know on the AC Facebook group in advance that there was a plane coming to the convention and I wouldn't be offended if anyone points it out because I was the one of the most unique suiters of the whole con.
