I was actually glad to see Tay push Rex out of the tree house, regardless of the consequences.

Er well judging by Rex's last line I highly doubt that he had that kind of ability from the beginning... sounded as though he was gonna die really. I just hope the countdown thing is the last thing he borrows from Lost. Also you have it backwards Shep, Rex pushed Tay out of the treehouse :3

hey, I happen to love LOST to death. I'm sorry if I am not as good a story-writer as most people, but I totally geeked-out from this and remember, I'm doing this comic as service to myself, as well as the fans of the twins. I'll try to be more original next time.

Not at all :3 although thats not what I meant exactly, it's fine to use things you like, but I was more pointing along the lines of I hope you don't make a habit of using borrowed plot devices to advance your own plot as well. That kind of thing is more for parody and comedy. It works out in this case but it would of been better to use your own idea, your more creative than that I know it :3

No no, I did this as homage to MY favorite "season 2 finale" and as I said, was just geeking out here. Nothing THIS specific is in my plans for the future. The only other thing people COULD SAY, but it's stretching, that I'm "borrowing" from LOST is the concept of flashbacks, but it's not like LOST invented the flashback.

And trust me: these next 2 seasons are.... wow.... my best stuff I've done so far. The flashbacks will serve as to show things that haven't been shown so far and also scenes you didn't see during the course of the kids' lives. Hope you enjoy it :P

2. Why did Rex care so much?
3. What dirt does Jules have on Rex?
4. What is the story about Rex saving Becky's life?
5. Why is Scooter afraid of water?
6. What new powers will Becky get?
7. Who absorbed the magnetic energy?
8. Where exactly does Rex live?
9. Where is Rex's mom?
10. What happened to Santa?

On relationships: I thought the kangagirl was a little flighty. They're in what? Kindergarden, grade 1, grade 2? These things arn't set in stone at that age.
But if she was from the Tot's old town, you'd think she might have a little more focus to the only people she knew.
What happened to the old town? Tyler was five years off target to use the mass fire/ mass dust in Australia as a reason.
What about Tay and Is's mother? Isn't she single? After the move to the new town was over, did she check out the local singles scene?
"You slept with -who-?!"

On the season2 ender: That was a good idea, using a mass upload. It really was meant to be read in quick succession (and then re-read to watch the disaster unfold.)
Magnetic powers arn't likely. Minor static level electric powers are just likely enough. Too bad Rex is ten years too soon to get any real fillings.
He's more likely to get electrocuted then anything else. Electricity doesn't travel in snow all that well. It tends to melt away, changing the contact-to-contact distance untill there's no contact.

I never liked Lost, but I did like the McIntots EMP arc.

On Jules, I tend to agree, she is definitely not my favorite character.

Magnetic powers in real life aren't likely, but this isn't real life; this is fiction. What Becky and certainly Melissa can do is definitely not likely, but you know what? If you can't suspend your belief and enter a different world when reading a story, then you aren't letting yourself into that story enough and I don't know what else to say about that.

I never have understood what people don't like about LOST. Is it too confusing for some people or something? I mean, I know several "losties" who are really into the show and they, for the most part, are idiots.

And nowhere was EMP (in the sense of attempting to release a huge pulse of electro-magnetic energy) ever mentioned in this arc; yes, Rex states he plans to use an "Electro-Magnetic Pulse," but not to knock out any power or anything; I obviously fucked up major there, looking back. I should have had him say CHARGE instead of PULSE. the plan was to use a huge amount of electro-magnetic charge to ATTRACT Santa (thought to be an electro-static being at this point) to them, thus capturing him. The button was added to make sure to discharge the over-charge since they can't stop it from charging after Tay forgot to install that one part. When the button is pushed, it releases the excess into the earth, safely. An EMP would have just been a messy and terribly impractical way to do anything, as it would knock out the whole neighborhood for no good reason.
