Recovered From Covid
Good news, I've finally recovered from covid and I'm no longer showing symptoms but I'm still very fatigued and don't have tons of energy just yet to be doing much right now. I'm going to give my body one more week to rest and recover. I just bought an N95 mask to wear whenever I go out in public for extra protection.
Even though I now have immunity and my immune system is developing antibodies now I don't wanna risk anybody else around me getting sick from the Omicron variant. I haven't been that sick since the H1N1 Flu epidemic broke out back in 2009. My whole family got that flu virus and that wasn't an easy walk in the park either. Now covid...I rarely ever get sick often...and they call it mild... even though I'm fully vaccinated covid sure didn't feel mild to me, this was terrible. At the very end I had a lot of muscle pains in my left leg and thigh and I'm still dealing with that pain and I had a lot of irritating congestion build-up and headache pains. Thankfully no breathing problems and no nausea issues. No hospitalization...thank god for that! I think the Omicron variant only affects the throat and doesn't get into the lungs so that's a very good thing but you can still develop bronchitis I've heard. Thankfully I never got it!
By next week I will be getting back on routine to draw and work more on adding products in my store. Thankfully I'll put this all behind me soon and I'll get back to my original self again. I'm getting a little bit better each day so that's the positive side.
Did you get two shots plus the booster or only the two?
I actually have been wearing an KN95 when out in public in crowded areas like the supermarket for some time now. I'm just quite paranoid.
I only got the two shots so even without the booster I was alright. Still prevented me from ending up hospitalized.
I don't go out publicly much except for the store and outside to walk within where I live. You really have to be extra cautious now, especially for the immune compromised people.
I got all 3 doses, and so did both of my family members who are older and have underlying conditions. Still we are really careful and sadly don't go out much. I really miss going out to the mall and other places, but I certainly can't justify that at this moment when cases are soaring and four of my online friends all got it lately...and IRL, a friend's mom who died of it.
Yep that's pretty much the same with me. I also get groceries delivered sometimes to reduce the trips to the store.
Our city was even stupid and got rid of the mask mandate for about a month. Not surprisingly, the cases soared and the hospital quickly became overwhelmed, forcing them to put it back in place. It wasn't necessarily that more people died of this new variant, but the unvaccinated still had to go to the hospital for it, and well, because of people sick with Covid there were less hospital beds than normal...
Yeah, it's not as safe as it used to be before covid and the world has changed to the core so much after 2020. Nothing's the same anymore but I've grown to get used to it after a while. I used to get them delivered too but at the beginning when the virus broke out and I wasn't vaccinated. Now I just go to the grocery and get them myself...go in and out pretty much and not go out for a while unless I really need to get something.
Yikes, they shouldn't have done that. That was pretty much their fault on their part. That's what happens when most people are careless and think that the worst is over because we are vaccinated when in reality it's still happening and just because we got the shots doesn't mean that we can still go around and have parties and be around large groups of people. We can still get sick because it's not a cure...it's supposed to reduce the severity of the virus so we don't end up dieing. Plus some people aren't vaccinated so it's very important to still wear a mask even if you are vaccinated so we can protect other people. A lot of people are just ignorant and careless these days and it's very sad!
