Ousama Ranking/Ranking of Kings is a really good one that's going on atm

This is probably the best show going on at the moment besides Demon Slayer for this season. It has a "childrens" animation style and the main character may be offputing at first, but its quite different than everything else going on at the moment. The show really shines on the rest of the cast and their interactions with each other, which honestly is the main focus of the show. Power levels go a bit silly at some point, but the show is still handling it incredibly well.

Sumomomo Momomo

Made In Abyss, if you haven't seen it. Its backgrounds are drawn by a guy who did Studio Ghibli backgrounds, the story is great, and it's surprisingly dark for how it looks right at the start. An absolute masterpiece, in my personal opinion.

And this wins for the other solid suggestion. I would give it a trigger warning for anyone who has PTSD associated with harm/violence through, it gets quite dark. Also it's got the best soundtrack of the last few years imo.

Not a lot can make me cry in both happiness and sadness, but the ending did. It’s convoluted and weird but it’s great. I don’t want much anime so I don’t have a wide birth on what is “good” anime

I had a sibling who was super into the show when I was younger, so I watched some of it. Can confirm the convoluted and weird parts, but its an interesting show for sure.

Off-beat comedies?

'Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master Of Killing Time'. Did you or your friends ever goof off with small things at your desks during class? This is that, taken to the extreme. Entirely family safe, as well; no violence, no profanity, and no sexuality!

'Comical Psychosomatic Medicine' is an absurdist comedy about various psychosomatic issues and ways to alleviate them. It does legitimately advertise seeking help for issues and to not be ashamed of difficulties in your life. Occasionally touches on sexual health topics.

'Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san' uses a silly art style and altered names to describe some of the actual ups and downs of working in a Japanese bookstore. Usually safe, but one scene does go over the awkwardness of explaining what yaoi is to an unaware parent.

Hmm...how about RE:Creators
It's only available with subs, but the story was interesting and powerful. I think you as a content creator, will connect with it quite well. It's not very comedy focussed, though, and does cover some serious topics like suicide, but I found it heart-warming by the end.

Wolf's Rain is super fucking old, but an excellent watch.

Only thing I could probably recommend is like Beastars in the sense that the social awkwardness of the main character towards everyone else is kinda funny and relatable. But if you've already seen it, then the only thing I could probably recommend that's good is Erased. It's not funny per say, it's about a guy going back in time to his kid self to stop a string of murders, but I'd say it's really compelling.

"So I'm a Spider so what" Reincarnated as a Monster Spider. You'll hae to get past the 'art style' in the beginning. They figure out how to animate as time goes on. The anime adds more info than what the manga had. Gives the human's side of the story as well as MCs which was very nice.

They won't make you laugh, but Odd Taxi and Vivy Fluorite Eye's Song were super easy anime of the year pics from last year and both are INCREDIBLY good. Also gonna second everyone who said Jujutsu Kaisen, it's the best Shounen action series I've seen in literal YEARS.

There are a number of good ones already listed on here that I think are great, but one I don't see listed yet is FLCL. It's short enough (Just 6 episodes of the original run in 2000) that you can knock it out in an afternoon. It's a bit of a wild ride and won't make a lot of sense at first but it's a fun watch. Two sequel series FLCL Progressive, and FLCL Alternative came out years latter, but I haven't watched them so I don't know if they are good or not

Yakitate Japan, AKA "Hell's Kitchen The Anime". With the exception that, instead of it being about incompetent people managing restaurants, it's about food, mostly bread, so delicious that people do... Weird japanese stuff, because of how delicious it is... 'w';;

If you want something funny: I got an anime recommended by a friend. Its name is weird, if it even is its name at all..
"Dog & Scissors" It is about someone who died and reincarnated as a dog. He LOOOOOVES reading books over everything. And the plot of the anime is just... weird but i guess funny?
I dont know if you will be into this anime but hey at least watch the first episode or so and see if you like it. Hopefully the name was right and you can find it tho ^^'

Not technically an anime series, but if you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend Ookami Kedomo.
I don't even wanna go too much into detail, it's just a beautiful movie :D

huh...well, for those criteria, Kenichi: The Strongest Disciple fit that bill for me .w. it's an older anime but the character dynamics make me smile.

Otherwise...I'm not very versed in too many others ;w; I like Log Horizon and Toriko but Toriko is a very long burn with a rushed conclusion.

Mob Psycho 100 is great!! Great visuals and comedy, plus a touching and superbly written story about self-improvement and psychic powers. ^^

Outlaw Star, Cannon Buster, all of Gundam Wing, the Zone of the Enders anime, Jojo, Ghost Stories, Fist of the North Star (can't belive anyone didnt recomend this one, tho it can get a bit gory at times) Berserk (this one is gory af and has serious adult tones to it but the story is good), Space Dandy, Avatar the Last Airbender, Legend of Korra. Those are all i can think of now, the others have already been mentioned here. Oh yeah Akira! You have to watch Akira! Thats basically the FIRST ANIME EVER and its still amazing. Oh! and anything from Studio Ghibli!

watch "to your eternity" There is not a better season of anime that i have seen then that show.

Apart of the dozens of isekai out there, id also reccommend rust earer bisco (or sakibui bisco). Theres only a few eps so far but it is damn good and an interesting world setting.

Summer Wars
-Gorgeous to look at, creative, fun, heartwarming. Mamoru Hosoda at his best imo. Doesn't go super deep into individual characters but does a wonderful job of portraying a slightly troubled but still loving family.

Promare
-BANGIN soundtrack (same guy who did Attack on Titan), 100% goofy over-the-top ridiculous and very proud of it, pokes a lot of fun at itself while still being earnest and wholesome. Also very gorgeous to look at, does some very cool stuff with the medium that I haven't really seen anywhere else. The characters aren't particularly deep but they are very lovable and easy to root for.

Tokyo Godfathers
-Explores some darker territory than the previous two suggestions but still is ultimately fun, lots of humor and a happy ending. I would take a bullet for the main characters. One of my very favorite Christmas movies. Also it's Satoshi Kon, so, like, every moment is animation eyecandy.

Saint Young Men
-Slice of life anime about Jesus and Buddha sharing an apartment. I feel like describing this one would ruin it somehow. It's just delightful. Very dry humor.


Castlevania
-Not 'real' anime but it fits the style at least. Would not recommend to anybody who doesn't like grimdark edgy fantasy violence, but it's pretty, has VERY fun character dynamics, and can go from "completely serious" to "suddenly this is a DnD session gone horribly wrong"-hysterical in the blink of an eye.
