On and off vs Little by little

I’m trying to change the way I draw my artwork. This isn’t the first time I’ve talked about my on and off drawing technique. When I’m working on a piece, say like one of my 9x12 drawings, I spend one day on the next day off. Draw some today, draw more a day after next day. However lately the off cycle has been getting longer than just a day. A day would turn into two days, then maybe 3 or 4 days, and then literally a week or so before I would go back to that drawing. This is the reason why it took a month and a half to complete the latest sketch of Android 259 (http://supra80.deviantart.com/art/A.....shed-137832296) This also might be the reason why its quality is a bit off as well, interruption of the creative process.
That way of doing things sucks in the long run. Sure I do a lot of doodles in between, but the 9x12s are where I want to do the high quality work. So instead of reverting back to the same routine for the lastest 9x12 I’m doing something different. My goal is to spend every single day working on it. Even if what I do with it is a little thing like drawing in the head or something. Hence my use of the phrase little by little. Hopefully with the use of this new technique I can produce drawings of higher quality and in greater quantity.

I’m finally drawn Jesk again. If you don’t know, Jesk is a female Irken Elite and one of my first OC Irkens. Need to get back to drawing my main OCs in general. Right now though I don’t know which one to draw next. That and there’s a few drawing contests on DA I’m interested in too.
