It makes me sad that I was born in Russia. My government, alas, has no brains in its skull and the only thing it knows how to do is rob its people and mindlessly wave a gun around. And because of my government I probably won't get to the Czech Republic to study, for which I have already paid good money, because the latest news has stopped issuing visas at all, even study visas...

Oh God that sounds awful, I know what its like to have your opportunities cut short by the government, my country is pacific but the government sucks, so I feel you, the fact that you won't be able to study in the place you want is a low blow... do you think that they will start re issuing them at some point? Or maybe you could get your money back somehow? :(

It really sucks how all of this affects innocent people more than the ones doing the damage in charge. Good luck, and know that most of us know people like you are not to blame.

It seems most Russians, at least on this site, feel the same. I've only seen an outpour of sympathy for the Ukrainian people, hatred for awful Russian government and dictator and worry about the war from them.
