Ethically, its fine, the alternative is just to not post at all, I think having a sense of normalcy would be good with everything going on. Mentally, it all comes down to how it makes you feel. (:

I was feeling quite unmotivated last week for the same reasons, and I was pondering the same topic. It felt wrong to be drawing fluffy things while all of this happens, but I eventually came to the conclusion that if I can make the world just a tiny bit nicer and happier with my art, it's a good enough reason for me to keep drawing and sharing my art with people. If I can provide hope and a break from everything else for those who like my art, it's a good enough reason to keep drawing. Hopefully I can create my own peaceful world for others to appreciate and have a little more love within their hearts.

Of course it's very easy to say such things being just ethnically ukrainian while I'm safe here at the other side of the planet, no matter how much the current situation bothers me. You should prioritize your own well-being and of those you care about. If art brings you any relief from what is going on in the world, you should certainly strive for it. Either way, please take care and stay safe.

Yes, I decided to post my artwork anyway as I have the opportunity to (until our comeplitely nuts government decides to shut down this site as well), and still it brings me a little piece of light to see comments as yours, or favs on artworks.
