Simply put, the sanctions levelled against Russia have mortally wounded its economy. Things are already plummeting there, and they're going to get much worse. It's probably too late to even send them money of any kind because how their banks have been carved out of the world economy. In response, Russia's government is going to start bringing the hammer down on their own people in an ill-advised attempt to bring things back under control. They'll probably be locking down their internet and maybe even their borders very soon.

Those with Russian contacts should get in touch with them ASAP. They're going to need it.
