Clock is set to automatic update thru Internet, and doesn't hide
Hover mouse over my own FA icon in the upper right
Count down the final 60 seconds.
At 10 seconds left, repeatedly left click my own icon to account for the few seconds of variation between different clocks and time zones. Click that "1J" that shows up and go.
Use insane typing skills and coffee fueled fast twitches to write a lil post and go.

even if u just sit in the notifications and refresh that's impressive that you've somehow beat everyone by a millisecond TWICE NOW to get first comment xD

Could or do slot classifications if you wanted to. something perhaps like

1:(newcomers only slot
2: (low cooldown slot
3: (high cooldown slot (return buyers slot opens after a minute)

something that could allow for newer people to get priority and returns to get slots too after they have been open for a while? idk still coming off of being sick with crap sleep so I may have worded most of this like a potato.

yeahh, i suppose that's the idea for higher cooldowns, so ppl cant just get slots every other opening, making it very difficult for others to get a chance

so maybe have 2 or 3 opening cooldowns so if u get a slot u need to wait 2 or 3 openings until you can get a slot

idk

the other option is forums where I am the one choosing which ones i want to work on, rather than just "who can copy and paste faster"

could even give each person a number, and then have google pick a number at random per slot. can even pool them for new and return

Yeah, I usually see this happen with first come first serve openings that are announced in advanced. Jounrnal notifs get spam-refreshed until they see it. XD

Yeahh,, tho unfortunately if I don’t announce it ahead of time, people won’t have time to prepare themselves for the slot opening/know if they’re ready or not/read TOS before claiming a slot/familiarizing themselves with the prices before claiming a slot :,) I do understand the appeal of forums and random openings tho because it gives more chance for the other people

yeee im thinking of trying them out next month cuz damn i feel bad that some ppl have been wanting a comm for months now and just cant go fast enough :,)

gotta figure out how to create and format them tho,, but wont be too hard

or just use a randomizer for people that are interested. sure, its gonna be dependent on luck, but who knows, itll give those that are late a chance too

For commissions, I may stick to something less like a raffle but true, that would allow for a more random and fair chance at a commission

Lemme know if you need help! Miza and I just do our pretty much the same. its overall more fair and people dont need to stress so much! ALSO more convenient for you since now you dont have to text with a client for an hour or more about what they want. Its all on that form and any additional questions and such can be discussed via DM. Also you could randomize it like Rye said but I recommend doing the comms you are most interested in <3 or what you have time for! Youll enjoy your workflow much more!

I feel like, because I can get art out fairly fast if I have something I’m interested in working on, that maybe forums because it’d allow me to take maybe more than 3 depending on how big or small they are or if it’s a subject I have inspiration for

I’ll have to look at y’all’s forums, the most I can think of atm is like number of characters, background, nsfw, description of commission, and contact (like discord or telegram).
