Yeah, part of living with diabetes. Give yourself a whack upside the head just above your ear on both sides. Not hard enough to give you stars (concussion) but a good, firm blow. This knocks the crystals loose in your inner ear. And take decongestants to keep your sinuses clear and free. After all, they are connected to your ear's inner workings. You might also consider a neti pot or saline flush of your sinuses.

Antivert(meclizine) is the medical answer to your vertigo, but it'll put you to sleep.

I know, for I have to battle with it myself from time to time.
