A lot of the Russian freelance artists are also in a bad position, and many of them trying to save up to leave the country. There's a lot of really talented and hardworking people out there who aren't in support of the war, people just doing their best to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Here's a small list of all the artists I personally watch who I recommend looking at if you're in the market for art and can afford to help someone. Please be aware that Paypal has been cut off in Russia at this time, so many Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian artists are forced to use alternatives. Be aware the situation is unstable and changing

Beautiful style that evokes folk art and nature motifs, very unique! I love their use of colors and the beautiful backgrounds and borders they make to their pieces. I've recommended them to a friend, and the resulting piece came out beautiful; birds are a specialty! (but they do very well with all kinds of character designs from what I've seen, even humans!)

Incredibly expressive style, great at bringing characters to life; their watercolor work is super impressive! YCHs, illustrations, and a comic that I have really enjoyed looking over! Birds are a specialty, but they also do wonderful work with other species of furries so far as I've seen! I've personally done business with them, and absolutely would recommend (especially if you're a fan of classic rock and metal music)

beautiful painterly YCHs, often with fantasy themes! I've been subtly watching for awhile, waiting for a chance to get one someday, but sadly my budget and the offerings available haven't lined up just yet. They're very talented though and create pieces with a grand scope and evocative atmosphere if that interests you!
