just before making this journal, i got finished cutting the fur on jakes butt. right now Jake is 2 years and 5 months old. (for those who might be reading this and dont know, hes my austrailian shepherd! :D) I know that you are not supposed to cut a double coat, which is why i've been hesitating this task, but the condition of specifically the fur coming from the back of his hind legs were awful. Knots i could grab handfuls of, and it must not have been pleasant for him.
The rest of his fur is really pretty and knot free, which is good! It's just that everytime i brush him, I always avoid the knots on his legs, in fear i'd hurt him if i tried to brush them, and just not knowing how to deal with it.. So finally, i just cut the knots out. I was pretty surprised with how calm he was while I worked so closely to his booty, and pretty happy too. He trusts me pretty well, i think. He just laid on his side the whole time and i gave him treats :3 anyway, i think i'll just need to give that area more attention from now on and hope it grows back okay.. It's looks really awkward with at some angles LEL
I just hope he feels better
