Exactly, that certainly doesn't help our case. And like you said it's not like there's anything bad about it, just people outside of furry tend to find it strange or worse, have ill conceived views about the topic.
Although even just drawing a realistic, feral wolves or other animals like I used to I never wanted to share so it's not just because it's furry drawings in my personal case. It's just any drawing, any topic. I don't know or better said can't explain why I'm so private about me drawing in general.

In any case, in today's world where every single thing is openly and expected to be shared, we need to remember it's ok not to share everything, doesn't have to be.

I think it’s pretty normal we get to draw things we don’t usually post anywhere else because it’s for ourselves. In my case, there are a lot of sketches and “almost finished” draws in my backlog that might never see the light of day because they were made for me as I way to vent or express myself! So it’s pretty good and okay that you keep draws for yourself and share those you feel you are okay for us to see! :D

That's fairly normal, to keep private particular personal drawings or drawings that were never finished. [it must be a little treasure trove all those unseen or unfinished sketches you have!] My problem is I'd get paranoid if anyone saw even the drawings I decideD to openly share online haha. If it were between furry friends I've met here like you I wouldn't be paranoid but I'd still be abnormally shy about it.

Es que para nosotros cualquier par de ojos viendo nuestros dibujos es el final, es absurdo porque a mi me preocupa más que alguien vea mi memoria USB llena de dibujos que he hecho a que se lleven mi billetera o algo así XD.

I don't really worry about people liking or not liking my artworks. It's art, I feel it's meant to be seen. Besides, I am really open about my sexuality either way. I am hurting no one with whatever I do in the bedroom, so I can openly talk about it.

Though I do agree that certain artworks are only meant for me and/or a friend only. Art that holds strong emotional value. Certainly you have to decide for yourself what you deem personal or not.

From my personal way of being extremely private over my own drawings, you are impressively bold and open about your own works [and interests]. I'm sheepish even if it's my most innocent little sketch and always turn the conversation away from talking about myself. That's really great for you honestly, and a healthy mindset not worrying over external eyes. Plus I'm sure it opens doors for you as well.

It's fairly easy to be open about NSFW subjects around these parts no doubt haha.

I had a strange, but somewhat similar experience.
A much older family member somehow discovered my FA page back when it was still viewable to non-fa members and saw my uploads, favorites, etc..
My FA page is now only viewable by other FA members, but I've also hidden my favorites and am extremely nervous to upload any submissions. LOL

Oh nooooo, not the favorites! Dx That must have been one of your life's most if not most awkward moments.
