Of Marvels and Marvels

Once again, great title. XD
But yes, trailer for the new 'Ms. Marvel' for Disney+ dropped, and I'm gettin' stoked for it, as I am for 'Moon Knight' this month. ^^
I really think Iman Vellani quite nails the personality of Kamala Khan, and she seems quite stoked for this too ^^
But of course, it wouldn't be that certain part of the Marvel fandom if certain comments from them didn't make me scratch my head in bewilderment of their statements that gets so idiotic, and make me go; "did you think before you typed this out" Don't know why this surprises me anymore, this has been their M.O. for WELL OVER a decade at this point.
Of course there's the racist/incel comments. One that states that Kamala is chubby. I really don't wanna know what your standards for women are if you think that's chubby. And of course there are those that'll state this will destroy culture, whatever the hell that's suppose to mean since those statements are always so vague. But let's not forget my favorite kinda comments from these crybabies, "She was made from woke culture FOR woke culture and she has no purpose but to satisfy the woke culture." blah blah blah. If I had a hundred bucks for every time I heard that crap, I could buy every last one of y'all here on FA breakfast, lunch, and dinner, several times over. And by that dumbass logic, any hero that's a white male is there to satisfy the white-woke culture. Golly gee whiz, it's like representation doesn't matter or something. Seriously, this is miniscule compared to other Marvel films not lead by a white male actor, and these assholes ALWAYS make it out like it's the end of society as we know it. Porbably said the same thing about 'Shang-Chi' when that came out last year. But guess what? I LOVE that movie, and this is coming from a biracial dude. (though apparently, I DO have some Chinese mix in me. Last week I found out there's some Irish in me, but that's neither here or there)
Oh, but let's predict how this show will turn out BASED OFF A TWO MINUTE TRAILER!!! Yeah, she won't go through any struggles at all, no personal growth. She'll be unbeatable from the very start cuz she's a WHAMEN! And these people wonder nerd culture has been frowned upon for years now.
Then there's the comments that really have me baffled. One that I came across, "I just ain't sold on the teenage superhero idea. Teenagers are dumb, selfish and don't understand self-sacrifice." Ummm WHAT??? Does Spider-Man ring any bells? Or the last movie of Spider-Man and all the crap he went through. You must hate Spider-Man then. Nnot just the MCU version but all the teen portrayals and especially his earlier comic days in the 60s/70s. And if you really think ALL teenagers are what you said in all that crap, then, my dude/dudette... I really hope you're a troll, or probably an old person. This is why we have the saying, "OK, BOOMER!"
And then there's this comment, "This looks very Disney Channel-esque, curious to see how people will receive this one and how the tone of this version of Khamala holds up when she'll be sharing screen with the other more serious/matured heroes." Once again, you make judgments from one trailer. And oh yea, she'll look really outta place next to a gun-totting, talking racoon, a teenage humanoid tree and a big green scientist. Dude, it's a story about a fangirl who becomes a superhero. Did you expect something like 'Punisher' on Netflix? Did you expect Spider-Man to be that way since he takes place in high school? And please do not tell me that Marvel's for kids, and that all their movies are the same. If they are for kids, why are adult my age, teens, and much older are enjoying them and continue to watch them? Ms. Marvel being less serious tonally has NOTHING to do with Disney. It's just the way teen heroes are often portrayed in comics. Yeah, lighter stories, but when things need to get serious, it GETS serious.
Sorry to be preachy about this, but this STILL continues to chap my ass!
What about changing her powers? Me, I'm not so up-in-arms about as some are. Maybe they'll mention her latent Inhuman genes, who knows. It's too early to tell. But after the failure of 'Inhumans', I think they wanna get away from that for now. Who knows. IAnd we're getting 'Fantastic 4' in the MCU pretty soon. And I know they wanna differentiate the powers, make them more on the level of Carol Danvers and now, Monica Rambeau, which I understand. And oooooooh boy, how I cannot wait to hear the whiny incel comments for that when the trailer comes out. But tell me, who thinks the song "Please Mr. Postman" from the Marvelettes should play, with Sam Jackson singing, for that trailer? ^^
But here's what I've come to realize about these whiny fanboys from a comment that made me grin ear-to-ear: 'let the trolls whine. Let them rage impotently at the biggest movie and television franchise on planet Earth for choosing to strive for more inclusivity. Look at them seethe about wokeness and chuckle to yourself. Watch them beg for the show to fail and cackle. They've lost the argument. They know it. Don't engage. Just laugh.'
And ya know what?... that's all to true. Their sadness is my pleasure. And that makes me wank off at night. (bursts out laughing) Oh, there's something wrong with me? XD
Regardless of all that crap, I'm gonna check it out and judge for myself. ^^
