Ever since the recent Frecklewish in the dark forest dramas in the warrior cat's fandom. I actually decided to look into the book, I'll say this here. I am not a Mapleshade apologist, and I don't agree with her actions. Murder is never okay, not even in a book about cats.

Frecklewish is by no means a softie angel, she's kinda a dick. She calls kits 'half clan creatures' attacks their mother in front of the kits. Some may say it's motivated by grief after Birchface died, that would be the same for Mapleshade then. Both did bad things out of grief, while Frecklewish didn't do as many bad things as Mapleshade. She isn't a 'good cat' as the fandom likes to paint her.
Also the Erins need to put Oakstar in the dark forest, he also harmed kits and attacked innocent kittypets. Oakstar deserves to go there if Frecklewish goes there.


Appledusk isn't a angel, he cheated on both his mates. He's a lying shithead who can't choose a she-cat, called his kits mistakes. Not a angel.

Mapleshade is DEFINITELY not a angel. The fandom isn't trying to paint this as much as Frecklewish or sometimes... Appledusk. But I do wanna say this here, I don't think Mapleshade used her kits and isn't at fault in their death. Sure crossing a river during a rainstorm? Not the best idea. But what else could be done? Shadowclan or Windclan wouldn't want a exiled warrior with halfclan kits. And kittypets were aggressive, in Mapleshade's vengeance a kittypet attempts to attack her.

Reedshine is definitely a victim out of all these cats, she had her mate cheat on her. Watched him die in front of her, had her generation terrorized by the ghost of the cat her mate was also cheating on.

Mapleshade's kits were definitely victims, they didn't deserve a single thing they got.
