Tried that. When the verification prompt appeared, it keeps showing the hacker's email in place of mine. I'll need some of my Facebook friends to file a report for me.

Somehow I doubt that's going to do much good in the long run, they would want you to fill in the report yourself if possible? The only way around this it seems is to create a new account on there, and then report the previous account hacking to Facebook and hopefully someone in authority up there will change the way they deal with account hacks.

I just looked at my friends list and I couldn't see your account, Facebook must have realised that it got hacked and thus suspended it. I'm so sorry.

It shouldn't be at the cost of someone losing their whole account though? It's good that they won't cause any trouble or false posts with the account, but still, now he has to re-establish himself on there IF he wants to at all and I won't blame him if he won't bother getting another account after all this rigmarole!

For sure. That's just terrible. Hopefully they'll be the victims of a hacking attack themselves. Then they'll know how it feels!

I did say they themselves should get hacked as in their accounts, not them getting 'hacked' my sharp objects. :D

I have not yet experienced hacking on facebook yet, but I did allow, once after a whole lifetime of not letting hackers trick me, a program downloaded from github to hack my Discord, and the same day, my Youtube was hijacked too. Luckily I recovered both, Discord by simply resetting my e-mail and adding 2FA, and Youtube by nagging the staff with appeals, before they gave me a proper form to fill to save my youtube channel. Even if unused, I'd rather have it and be able to comment on stuff, than not have it and watch as an anonymous number.

I don't use Facebook myself, but is there support you can contact? Assuming the link the other user provided doesn't help
