Redoing monthly shenanigans
As many of my watchers know I've done a lot of monthly raffles, these have been wildly varying from my old quick sketches to linework to the occasional fully colored pic, but with some of my recent changes I've come to reconsider how I do these as well. I'm not getting rid of them, but with being on twitter as well, I think I'm going to split up my raffle and have two of them instead, both just doing linework. This way people on my Twitter who don't follow me here still have the opportunity.
I'm also going to be picking the winner myself from now on rather than doing it randomly. I've done some in the past that I wasn't exactly invested in, and I really feel it shows. I'm not going to just be picking friends, or picking popular people over others, but I will be picking based on which ideas sound the most fun to draw. I have stated in the past to please say what you want when commenting, and it is often ignored. Unless you think your character is that fun to draw, I would try to at least put some vague idea in your comment.
Lastly I want to say I've gotten some feedback about my new commission info. Yes it's a price increase that's drastically more than my old prices. I timed myself and the most recent drawing took me roughly 20 hours to finish over a single week. This may partly be because of having a shattered wrist, but I still put a lot of effort, and I feel my prices reflect that. I appreciate anyone who even considers commissioning me, and I do hope that this latest piece reassures you of the art I offer. If you feel my prices are still too much, that's fine, you can always enter my raffles, and I'm not going to stop anyone from getting my linework colored, but the prices I set are in consideration of my development as an artist, and the value of my time.
