Unfortunately those aren't available worldwide (AFAIK Venmo is US only, Cash App US and UK) so limits who can commission you. Finding something that can make/recieve payments from anywhere definetly makes things harder.

I've heard Stripe has better availability worldwide, although don't know much about it beyond that. Have made a few payments to online stores before through it but not sure how it is for sellers.

A few people told me Stripe's customer service is basically nonexistent, but I've heard good things about Square although I'm unsure if it is worldwide so I'll have to check!

I do also take Venmo! :D but I'm also thinking about setting up square too, I've heard good things about it.

Sadly I think I only time you should shift away from paypal is if you're literally unable to take payments through it anymore. With the way the fees are, you'd lose more money in customers unable to give you money through an alternative source than the stuff you're losing from paypals cut.

I'm more so looking for an alternative that I can push on my customers to get instead FGFHG. BC if I can convince people to use something like square, and then take paypal when I have to it'll be a lot better than if I don't even try doing that at all.

Speaking from experience of having to do my taxes 3 days ago and losing my mind. Just know that the more alternative payment sources you have, the more places you have to go to track for reporting on taxes. And it was a depressing thing for me to realize that of the 3 places I had to check (paypal, my bank and another card given to me by the state) Paypal had the least painful record keeping for sorting business expenses vs income. Insanity. /lighthearted.
