Now I'm really mad.

I'm going to try to recap what has happened to me over the last 24 hours. Both what I've already said here, and what has happened since.
At sometime around 12:30 AM or so, after I woke up from a late nap (my sleep schedule is a mess from a horrible insomnia issue I've had for years, but that's a story for another day) , I got an e-mail saying my YouTube account had been terminated due to frequent community guidelines violations. This was BS because, even with my adult visual novel Let's Plays, I always censored everything and I always marked the videos as age-restricted so minors couldn't view them. So, when I saw that, I immediately filed an appeal. I was obviously and rightfully upset and angry. A few hours later, I got a response saying they reviewed the offending video further and determined that it WASN'T something that should have gotten my channel taken down and reversed the decision. I had gotten my account back. I was still upset and angry, and didn't sleep well the rest of the night, but things were okay.
After waking up around 9:30 AM or so, everything still seemed fine, and I assumed there would be no further issue, so I continued with my day's plans, which, unfortunately, included being out of town due to needing to have an MRI done at the hospital that I had my surgery done at back in November. The MRI itself started off fine, but as it neared the end, they suddenly had to stop it, because one of their machines, the one connected to my finger (to keep track of my pulse, I think?) apparently died. I was bothered by it, because it had already gone longer than it was supposed to have, but I dealt with it. When they finally got me back in to finish the rest of it, which SUPPOSEDLY was only supposed to be about ten minutes more (I'd been 30 minutes into the MRI already at that point, the supposed full length of time it should have been to begin with), it took considerably longer. This was made worse by the fact that, after the ten minutes had initially passed, I was starting to get some severe back and arm pain (not much space inside, for those that are not aware), and, despite having my Gideon plush with me, both my claustrophobia AND my anxiety started acting up. It was only at THAT point that I had realized that the little button they gave me to push if there was a problem when the test began was NOT given back to me for the last bit of it. Despite trying to call out, and ALMOST screaming from pain, anxiety and fear, I was never heard. I was forced to lay there, freaking out, until the test had concluded. And when it finally had, and I tried to explain that I was trying to get their attention because I was having problems near the end, the MRI tech, who clearly didn't hear what I just said, had, instead, focused on my facemask (I was wearing my Dipper facemask at the time) and makes the joke "It's hard to take you seriously with that clown mask on your face". It took everything I had not to want to hit the guy. I stayed calm though, let him lead me out, finished what I needed to do, and headed to my other appointment (to see one of my neurosurgeons that worked on me in the hospital).
Along the way though, I discovered that my YouTube account had been removed AGAIN. For the same exact reason as the first time. Okay, so first let me preface this by saying that I don't actually think someone had it out to get me with the day's events. Immediately, just like the first time, I appealed it, but this time, the response took a lot longer to get back to me. So long that I had finished my other appointment (that, thankfully, went fine. The scans that were taken showed there were absolutely no issues. My new shunt was still working perfectly.) and was almost home before I'd gotten a reply.
By now it was nearly 9 PM. The reply I got indicated that, much like with the previous time, the offending issue was reviewed and it was determined there was no violation, so my channel was going to be restored.
Here's where things turn sour though. I checked my account immediately upon getting that, thinking, like last time, the channel would be restored immediately. Despite being told it was going to be though, this time, it had not been. Okay, fine. Maybe they're just busy. It *is* a big company. Perhaps I just got lucky the first time, right? Well, 10 PM came and still no channel restoration, despite being told it had been. This struck me as odd, so I put in an inquiry via the link to reach out to them if I thought there was a problem and told them that if the issue was a speccific video I could handle it tomorrow, and that the only reason I hadn't was because I was pout of town with no access to my channel, and, because by that time I thought my brain would let me crash, I retired to bed, hoping to get at least a little sleep. Didn't happen. Tossed and turned for an hour, finally gave up and got back up again. Checked my email again. They replied... but, and here's the point that had me wanting to bang my head on the wall. They replied WITH AN EXACT, WORD FOR WORD COPY OF THE LAST E-MAIL I GOT. I was never speaking to a person at all. Sure, a person may have REVIEWED IT, but the e-mail itself is clearly bot-handled. What's even worse? I went back and checked the e-mail from the FIRST time they helped me, and, guess what? EXACTLY THE SAME. Well, I decided at that point (now 11 PM) to word things differently. I specifically mention the fact that, despite being told twice that now that my channel restored, they still had yet to do so. Guess what? An hour later, midnight. THE. EXACT. SAME. E-MAIL!
So, that's where things are for me right now.
As for why I don't think it's someone specifically that has it out for me. I believe I have figured out WHY it got flagged a second time, inexcusable as it still is. As I stated above, when my channel was hit the first time, it was just past midnight. Most people are normally asleep by now, but, in my case, because of the weird insomnia issue I've got, that's the time I tend to wake up for the evening nap my body tends to want. Well, when these naps DO happen, after I wake up, my body decides I'm completely alert, but only for about another 3-4 hours or so. Enough time for me to have appealed the takedown, get it restored, then spend what iminimal time I had left before my body decides it was ready to actually sleep. Since my brain was a mess by that point, the though didn't occur to me to start taking down some of the videos that could potentially cause this issue to happen again in the meantime. By 3 AM, not even an hour after my channel had been restored, my brain was ready to actually sleep, so I did.
I had to wake up about six hours later, because I had to leave at about 10:30and go to Seattle for the appointments I mentioned above. So no time to do anything with my channel then either. During that time, several past videos had some content blocks put on them, that were previously content blocked the first time. YouTube reinstating the channel basically meant the content blocks had to cycle through again. These DO NOT affect my channel. It's just that, in certain countries, certain videos cant be watched, and a few were copyright claimed because of music in some of them, which, again doesn't affect my channel (it only would have affected something if I was monetizing them, which I don't and never have). The first time I even looked at my Youtube channel after that was sometime in the afternoon, around the time I was almost in Seattle, and, at that time, my account was still fine.
The problem that I think caused the channel to be taken down the second time was, if my theory is correct, the exact same video that got it taken down the first time. And here's why I think that. As I said, I had NO time to do any video deleting between when it was restored the first time to when it got taken down the second time. What further adds to this theory is the fact that, as I mentioned, all the original content blocks and copyright/monetization blocks got processed again, almost as if the videos were all newly uploaded again. Many of them happened within minutes of each other. And since the first three videos I had that were supposed content violations, the three Dozer videos, had already been removed when they got pulled the first time, instead, the system went right to the next one that it found a problem with (which was the same one that got my channel pulled the first time today), which, as it happens, was another Extracurricular Activities video, this one though for the character Darius. Since I'd not taken any action to resolve the issue yet, they now likely saw that as a new violation, which, despite the fact they already determined it wasn't an issue, was apparently enough to warrant taking my channel down again.
So no, I don't think I've been 'targeted'. What I think is YouTube doesn't seem to care that, by reprocessing my videos, as it seems they did based on the other stiff that passed through the account, they reprocessed the content violation THAT THEY ALREADY CLEARED. And, because I was STUPID ENOUGH not to spend time on my CELL PHONE removing the videos while I was away form home, which, in hindsight, I should have done (and COULD HAVE, in fact, because I have the YouTube Studio app on my cell), I've lost my account twice in 24 hours, and based on the realization that the e-mail that I thought was from a human actually talking to me really wasn't, I likely won't be getting it back again.
What does this mean if that's the case? Well, it means ten years of videos are almost all gone. Truthfully, it isn't so much that I lost the videos themselves that bothers me. I could always replay the games and reupload them, and I can still do VNs, just nothing pornographic. What bothers me is more that it was taken down despite me NOT violating guidelines. I put a LOT of effort into censoring the adult VNs specifically BECAUSE I know about the guidelines. I didn't WANT this to happen.
Anyway...
david31 is going to be sending me copies of the videos I've done of my two most recent VNs, Winds of Change and Major/Minor, when he has the chance to do so, because he has to download videos for offline viewing to be able to watch them, and those two, although there is adult subject matter (violence mostly), there is NO porn or nudity ever shown in either one. I can't be attacked for 'pornographic content and nudity' if there isn't any, after all, right? I won't be doing this right away, because I need some time away from YouTube recording for a bit, but, if my old channel doesn't get restored, I'll be starting a new one, using a gmail that i have linked to google that I never created a YouTube channel for. I also HAD plans to start up a couple other games anyway. This all happened after finishing the story mode of Paper Mario: The Origami King, and, while I was originally going through and collecting what i could to get myself as close to 100% as I could, since I finished the story mode anyway, and realistically I don't think I was going to get anywhere close to 100% anyway, I would be starting a different game in place of that. This had also, interestingly, happened JUST AFTER the posting of the first video to the sequel of Dragon Quest Builders, so, since it only means redoing one video, I planned to continue that.
So yeah, that's pretty much my day in a nutshell. One way or another, I'll find resolution to this. Whether it means deleting videos from one channel, or posting videos to a different one, I WILL get past this, but if the latter happens, don't expect it to happen for a while. I'm just... drained from all this.
