Awww, what a bummer! :( My old computer got hacked by Myspace in December, and I was unable to fix it (it was really really old anyway though), so I was offline for basically two months, until I got a new computer in February. So I know what it feels like to have computer problems. :(
I hope you're able to get it fixed though! If your friends aren't able to help, you should take it to Best Buy or something, and see if they can take a look at it for you. I don't think it would cost that much; Best Buy is where I bought my computer from, and their services and prices seem pretty reasonable.
As for knowing what the problem might be, I have no idea. But maybe you could try starting it in safe mode? Like when you first start it up, when it's on the DOS startup page thing, does it ask you if you want it to start in safe mode? Other than that, I have no idea. :( I used to use DOS years ago, but I've recently updated my hardware and have no use for it. :| Bummer. But if you can somehow get logged in to Windows, I'd say try running a virus scan immediately. When you say it's restarting ITSELF, to me that sounds like you've got a virus. And you can buy a good virus scan software for about $30 (I recommend McAfee), if you don't have one already.

I hope you're able to solve the problem. I know it's a real bummer to have stuff like this happen though. But I'd say just take it to somebody, if you feel the computer is worth saving, and they can hopefully figure out what's wrong. So best of luck to you, and hope to see you back soon!! <3

See, it's strange, because when my computer actually does start up, it works almost perfectly. I have a very nice firewall that scans and fixes any spyware/virus problems every night. There's nothing on the computer that could be causing the problem... So it either has to be the operating system itself, or some malfunctioning hardware.

I'm planning on taking it down to the tech department here at my school as soon as I can... And really, as long as they save my hard drives, they can do whatever they want to fix it. I just want my stuff back.
