More Liberals need to be armed

Anybody familiar with me knows that I think guns, in general, are a dumb solution to problems that often don't exist but I've always maintained that they'd prove useful in extreme situations, like of course, war or perhaps if a zombie apocalypse ever actually did break out.
They also become a last resort when an entire societal system has actively turned its hostilities against you. It's not like you can call the cops or rely on the courts to defend your personal autonomy. The right always claimed they needed guns in case of 'tyranny.' What they meant was another black President. But indeed, tyranny has arrived, and it's coming after black voting rights, women's health rights, and in the case of LGBT people, the right to exist at all.
The Rttenhouse trial essentially set the precedent - there will be no consequences for when America's rapidly rising mobs of white fascists come to your home and kill you because they can. And I'm getting really tired of the left letting themselves get steamrolled because of this. Coupled with the fact that America has overwhelmingly chosen gun violence over everything else, it becomes a climate change situation - preventing it is out of the question, so you have to ask yourself how you're going to survive it instead.
Your principles don't matter anymore. Your moral high ground is statistically irrelevant and doesn't win elections. There will be no non-violent solution to the current crisis. We're already in the civil war, and somebody is going to win it. And I really think it shouldn't be the Nazis.

Overwhelmingly, nobody needs a gun. Here in America however, we've got an extraordinary problem with our majority demographic being radicalized and fascist. And the rest of us can't trust them not to genocide us like they do, well, every other society they've ever come into contact to up to this point in human history.
After all it has no use if something is illegal... but the people who want to kill you won´t care..
No weapons at all would be more or less "safe" .... all the bad guys having guns and the good guys don´t is even more unsafe than "everyone has guns"
Guns are not illegal in Europe, and firearms in general are only completely prohibited in a single digit number of countries (None of them as far as I know are European). Some categories of weapons might be illegal (Categories can be 'any handgun' because of its ease of use and concealability, to regulations about penetration power, muzzle velocity, magazine size). In Scotland, you need a permit to own a weapon and its reviewed annually if you're a member of the armed forces by a weapons instructor to ensure competence. Different classifications of weapons have their own permits, and in some jursidictions you may need to supply a 'good reason' for applying for their ownership, and that can very much include sports shooting as we have dozens of gun clubs around the country one can join.
I think more people should be armed, not out of any ideological reason or self-defence or fear of what's coming, but simply because marksmanship is a fun hobby and I'd always endorse a means of recreation. It's a hands-on demonstration of newtonian physics, that's both mentally and physically engaging. To me, there's an art to getting a bullet to hit squarely on target that I wish people were more appreciative of.
But for those that really detest guns, there's always the Rocketry Association: http://www.ukra.org.uk/
ultimately people are lazy as fuck, hence why voting restrictions keep voting numbers down. Our conservatives know that works, so, they know they definitely want to avoid gun restrictions of any kind.
For what it's worth, I've always loved intense demonstrations of accuracy, whether in the form of target-shooting or lame-ass golf. But I'm definitely in a post-fun portion of my life so, recreation isn't on my mind so much anymore. It's pretty much just this. Dozens of times a day.
