About the situation in Russia and Ukraine

Hi everyone who is reading this!
You may be tired of hearing about the news about Russia and Ukraine. I understand you, but I still can't help but speak out as well. I live in Russia and I hate my government, which destroys the lives of innocent people. It's been over a month since the hostilities began. We are subjected to the strongest censorship and propaganda from Putin and his cronies. He runs all the TV channels and newspapers, we are not allowed to know the truth. There are still those who do not give in to the government, but they are very few and all of them are outside of Russia, because at home they would be deprived of their freedom, or worse, their lives. Prices are rising daily, and wages do not even allow us to pay for an apartment. Our veterans, whose heroism Russia boasted so much about and was so proud of, have abandoned them. Pensioners are simply forced to get their sustenance from garbage cans. Children in schools have no future, because every day before class they are forced to sing the Russian anthem, and their phones, which are their only protection, are taken away. Nazi "Z" symbols are everywhere, they are even pasted on the windows of kindergartens... Young, talented people are stuck in this country without the opportunity to develop and self-actualize, working for pennies. Education teaches nothing, imposes "traditional" views of life. People who are in any way different are despised, beaten, and in some cases even killed. Women's rights, LGBT rights, and freedom of speech are not valued here. People rally and end up being imprisoned for several years, or fined in a way that the average Russian cannot afford to pay. I live in a crazy world of zombified, faceless Nazis killing our brothers. We are of the same blood, it's disgusting. We are dying, morally and physically, trivially from lack of sustenance. I also want you to know the truth about what's going on here. Not all Russians support this stupid war, not all Russians hang the symbol of modern Nazism. Just a couple of years ago I graduated high school, dreaming of a career as a filmmaker and writer. But now, instead of carefree studies, I have to think about how I'm going to survive, because I barely have enough money to eat. I was supposed to study abroad in the Czech Republic, but the war hit my finances and savings hard. And my parents abandoned me when they found out about my LGBT leanings. I'm afraid to live here, I'm afraid to be myself, I'm afraid to express myself, I'm afraid to go to the hospital, because if they find out about my views and orientation there could be not very pleasant consequences. I cry endlessly for my homeland, which destroyed me and my life. And with a tiny light of hope in my hands, I pray to fate that the future will be brighter. Very soon I hope to be able to leave, but I am in great pain for Russia and the way it has been taken over by terrorists. No one deserves such a fate. Children should not think about war, children should think about games, colors, and a magical future. Old people and veterans should not dig through garbage, they should rest on their pensions and take everything from life. Ukrainian and Russian soldiers should not die in this war, they should be with their families. I hope that love will save us, Ukraine and Russia after all... It hurts, it really hurts, but we have to be strong.

I hate that the average person is being made to suffer for the decisions of their government, because that always works in history.

I hope you don't mind me asking this after some time has passed since this entry, but how much more money would you need to go? Or were you able to bring yourself to safety in the meantime? I hope you were or you'll be able to leave soon. And that you'll be soon free from this with a chance to start over elsewhere :/ Best of wishes to you.
