Yiff comics with a story

I notice how certain artists do the opposite of what tends to happen with things. Instead of a story being filled with fanservice more and more, these artists start out with pornographic comics where the plot is hardly there, but then over time to have a continuous narrative. There's more characters, relationships between them of all sort of forms are established, and real story arcs can happen.
It's perhaps easier to pull off these days with crowd-founding sites, which lets people not rely on commissions of individual clients, but rather have 1 major project that a mass of people would love to see continue.
I must confess, that while a few artists have created projects that impress me with their storytelling, I do end up often skipping over the sex scenes, because "reading for the story" and "reading for you know what" are completely different experiences for me. I focus on one of the 2 at the time, with the latter probably not entirely qualifying as "reading".
This made me wonder how other people tend to feel about this stuff.
Am I the only one mostly reading pornographic comics for the story?
Are most furries able to enjoy these comics "in both ways" at the same time?
Do many read them only for the "hot stuff"?

I have part of chapter story in my head that a some mates for a gay guy to get laid with a woman, but the main focus is sexual expressed in going to Church, torturing and killing a criminal, getting plastered drunk, and locker room shower with 100 dudes- all in a day, acting like a devil for the service of God.
