Who boy where to even start?
Two weeks ago today I had a Dr appointment. I was having a hard time breathing, I could barely move like 10 feet without feeling exhausted and had gained a lot of weight. So went in, my blood pressure was just registering and he called me an ambulance to go to the local hospital.
From there I was prepper for not one, not two. But THREE IVs which is wonderful plus a catheter. Then fun ride by ambulance driven by a guy who could compete on the rally car circuit with ease to a hospital in the city all the while wearing a high flow oxygen mask.
Once in city I was admitted to intensive care, masked swapped for a more comfortable (Heh) High flow mask and IVs running into me for what felt like the longest night of my life. I was literally drowning in fluid from the inside out.
But, as the fluid came off I started to feel better and my weight dropped, significantly. It was strange. I has echograms done on my chest daily which was fun and did nothing more than literally lay in bed or the one chair in the room. Walking I was pretty unsteady and even now I feel better using a cane to help my balance until I'm fully recovered. Then on the 20th I had a angiogram which is loads of fun. Creepiest sensation in the world as they fed this through my wrist and took several Xrays of my heart.
No stent was needed and they said I had congestive heart failure which the excess fluid also triggered a congenital heart failure from a defect I didn't know I had. Gotta love genetics.
So I was moved to a different room, During that time I was off all extra oxygen and out on 8 new meds with some lovely side effects. Then on the 20th they started the process of getting me released. Which was good as trying to dig an escape tunnel with a plastic spoon was a lesson in frustration. So by the 23rd I was finally released. My cousin Alice who loved in the city came to visit me almost every day if she was able to and I stayed at her place as I adjusted to my new meds and mostly slept as hospital beds are just one step up from sleeping on the floor on two bath towels.
So once I was way more stable she ran me home yesterday. My puppies missed me so freaking much as I missed them it wasn't funny. I gave and got cuddles and kisses. Finally got yo sleep last night in my own bed which felt wonderful and now I have to go in to home care and get this catheter dealt with. I still can't pee normally when they went to remove it and trust me. The pain of your bladder to near bursting in a pain like no other.
So, that been my life the the last two weeks. Nearly died, lost so much weight I don't look like me in the mirror. All my clothes are loose and even my shoes feel big.
So if you start to experience sudden weight gain or bloating please get to a Dr or hospital fast. I'm still here and plan to be around for a long time. Deal with it.

I know we don't talk much anymore; I'd like to fix that at some point. You can find me on Telegram, Discord (if I ever bother to use the silly thing), Twitter or Steam.
