So this is something I've considered for a long while, but it is a bit of a hassle to re-upload all my art over on a new account. It's just that this account was made on 2011 and it's a complete mess. I followed way too many accounts and I currently have 127348 submissions to view. You can't even nuke all of that! This causes problems in viewing other people's work.
Not to mention I believe most followers I have are inactive and from 10 years ago.
If you're an active follower, please let me know! I'm curious if making a new account to start out fresh is a good idea or not. I know it can be annoying to keep track on who changes account or not, which is why I try my best not to do it as often as I did in the past.
If I did make a new account, I'd probably start uploading at the beginning of 2021 - Present time. And I'll keep this account as an archive. 
But gonna be spotty for most of the month of May, but I'm still here.
I don't think changing accounts will solve the mentality you are having. Temporarily, until you start watching more artists again. Then it would end up the same way.
Also, I do know that fa will delete notifs that are over a year old to prevent overload. Doesn't the nuke button delete a certain amount, and you just click it to keep deleting that amount til it's done?
Also I didn't even know that. That means the large amount of submissions I have is all one year. I may have to nuke it all and just keep up to date now that I've been hanging around FA more often.
