I need a minute. I'm fucking terrified right now.
I just wanna wake up one day without having to doom scroll in real time
I want to stop being scared because I happen to have a uterus lmao
hate it here.
This is very vague on purpose but ya'll know what i'm talking about.

Thank you friend ;u;
(Also sorry, trying to be vauge too)
It's just fucking disgusting every way you look at it. Because of one side's active malice and the other side's active ignorance, so many people are gonna suffer to make a bunch of rich misogynistic men with their heads up their ass happy. And they'll almost surely never be happy unless everyone with a uterus is some kind of fucking property again.
People are going to die over this and half the government is openly rejoicing while the other half is just shrugging. Makes me sick.
I have spent 24 years fighting and agonizing over things done in the name of 'progress' or 'safety' that ended up being ineffective, utter disasters, or quick fixes that brought problems of their own. Some things came from one party. Others came from another party.
People cheered whenever something passed because it fit them at the moment, but reverberations from their decisions are still present. They moved on to the next outrage topic without a thought for the result that didn't affect them and left their opponents holding the bag (sometimes for generations) all in the name of petty revenge or temporarily feeling better.
Like you have mentioned in another comment, the people making that public decision are likely to find ways to avoid applying it to themselves. It's an unfortunate part of the development of the system that protects corruption.
What really gets me is that both sides of the divide moan about how their nation's freedoms are enshrined in a certain document, but they have worked for years to undermine and change that document to suit their needs (going so far as to ignore it when inconvenient).
I guess they want to have us believe that anything could change at any time and previous decisions were just suggestions (despite the formal nature of the decisions made and the system meant to protect those decisions).
Hoping the people making the final decision have sense enough not to set a new precedent where anything can be changed at any time for any reason.
