i have books on making them. been interested in them since the early nineties when they were really simple designs. not the absolutely amazing stuff they have become

I have loved them ever since I first saw them :) they are so cool lookin! And to think that they are made with dirt, tires, cans, and bottles and the like is just amazin o.o.

when i was a lot less crippled i had planned to build one. i have a bunch of saved websites of people that had built them telling the problems and solutions they had during the process. important things needed that the books do not mention
u-haul truck - buy a used one, you will need it for all the tires
backhoes are friend. very much so
buy a trailer cause this thing is going to take quite a while to build
erect a huge shed cause you are going to have a lot of stuff to keep safe until the base is built
get a couple large cisterns. and keep the filled. they are usually not only built off the grid but indeed built far from it. water is necessary for just about everything

Well the more these things are built the less and less time it would take to put one up I'd assume. We've got plans drawn up from our own minds :D I drew up plans and my mom drew up some plans :P I like my plans better lol and I think she likes my plans to o.o
