Took a trip to the Emergency Room today.

Just a few days ago I started feeling goosebump sensations on the left side of my crown, down my left temple, left cheek to the left corner of my mouth. I also had a minor headache yesterday morning at about 8. Being possible symptoms of several life-threatening brain ailments (stroke, brain tumor, embolism, just to name a few), I called my GP's office for a professional opinion and they told me to go to the ER, so I did.
Fortunately, it was nothing serious.
They did a cognitive test on me and told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my cognition. They also ran a CT scan on me and it came up clear as crystal, perfectly healthy.
Apparently what I experienced is something called 'transient paresthesia,' which is just a fancy way of saying my sensory scalp nerves are acting up. The headache was likely entirely unrelated, and I don't really need to worry unless I start feeling numbness, having slurred speech, trouble walking, etcetera.
Also made a new friend in one of the nurses! Turns out she's big into the Star Wars films, and her daughter's an avid gamer. As a matter of fact she even said she likes playing games like Minecraft, but had never played any Star Wars games before. So I recommended Jedi Fallen Order to her, and gave her my Xbox Gamertag on the way back out of the hospital.
So... Probably the best trip to the ER I've ever taken, actually. Nothing's actually wrong with me and I potentially made a new gamer friend.

nice. I would recommend Fallen Order as well too. If she's big on flying games in the star wars universe, Battlefront 2 and squadrons too

Fallen Order was the first thing to come to mind, though I do wish I'd thought of LEGO The Skywalker Saga too.

That's good to hear. Glad it wasn't anything serious!

You and me both! The last thing I wanted was to learn I'd developed a life-threatening condition at 31!
