But sadly I can't. You like my artist to go if I want something very detailed. Especially regarding military equipment and vehicles. You're my to go artist. But ofc that is pricey and I'm not saying the price isn't justified. It is and I gladly pay it. Just rn I got a lot of other costs so I have no spare money for your type of quality art in that price range.

And I'm a person who likes to always go for the premium quality, so the cheaper options dosen't fullfill my needs I have when I comission art from you. Like drawing my bike in excellent detail for example.

I know this answer dosen't help you in any way but I thought you would atleast like to read something regarding this matter...

This isn't The Reason (and I certainly don't have it) but while you're taking feedback I can at least point out that the only place I can find prices for you is in your Commissions tab- which is broken to the point of being unusable on mobile thanks to FA not having updated it for like a decade. The price column on mobile gets thrown to the side beyond the mobile's screen and can't even be scrolled to. Now many other artists when they do their Commissions Open post include at least some price info with it- however you do not- so if I were to catch the post while on a mobile device I have no idea whether you're in-budget or not, and if I happen to be doing price comparison between artists on mobile, then you automatically get put out of the running because I can't see your prices. It's a small, seemingly insignificant thing that can ultimately lead to lost commissions.

I'm afraid that's because the cost of everything just keeps going up and bartering has become popular again in some areas. The situation here is already pretty ridiculous, and the government has promised that things will only get worse by winter. These forecasts seems to dampening business. Sorry that you are financially stressed, I know that this is not nice.

For example, last week I swapped a bucket of cucumbers for a bag of flour. It works well when you have connections. But this is done more with things that are simply not longer available in the shops. The economy around the world has really gone down the shitter, probably a lot more people cant justify spending this amount of money on whats essentially a luxury item. Your art is beautiful but I have the exact same reasoning, as the price of everything I need goes up, the amount of money im willing to spend on furry art goes down.

I really love the vehicle commission from you, but I cant simply afford on of those. Its always a thought of "Should you buy 1 commission for 300 or 3 commission for 100", writer like I always tend to try to get as much as possible visualized. Yes your 300 Commission looks really good, and you vehicle look REALLY nice, but it isnt just worth it from a my prospektive. Then 1 get one Char with one vehicle visualized and not 3-6 chars.
Of course, I would commission you in an instant, if the commission would cost 150 to 200. But then you would undersell you and that would be not good.

Mhhh I would maybe say, you need some kind of "ad" like a comic or something. That would maybe rebrand you from the vehicles guy to a character guy. Like a other comment pointed out, you are the vehicle guy artist. I do watched you, because you draw good vehicles. And that is a rather niche corner in FA. You can try dropping the prices temporarily until business picks up again.
I doubt anything more than the amount you're charging will change how much work/money you receive.
I personally cannot justify paying an amount that high (for the particular piece I'd be interested in) with my current financial situation in mind but you better damn believe that you're worth the price.

I don't think you should be constantly comparing yourself to others. Doing that will almost always result in you thinking negatively about yourself.
I've seen many artists with insane quality ask for less and eventually ramp their prices up when they feel they've raked in enough recognition.
You can claim it's a loss but sometimes quantity matters more than quality. If you have to get a couple dollars less to throw more of your work out there then I'd argue the smart choice would be to do that because later on it'll pay off quite literally.
Like we've all said here many times before; Your work is great and it's worth the price you're asking. However if you feel like you're not getting enough for it then you'll have to make a couple sacrifices. It may upset you but you also know that in this world money is the main motivator and decision maker.

Let me start by saying you are an insanely talented artist and I am absolutely shocked that you aren't getting any commissions lately. But, it makes sense because as others here have said, the global economy isn't very great right now so people are being very careful where they spend their money.

That said, I'm sure there are also others like me who have the funds to commission you, but due to certain...global events, we are unable to do so. Based on my last commission I got from you, I am sure you can figure out what I do for a living. As a result of this job, my international purchases are somewhat monitored. And due to our people being...at odds...with each other at the moment, commissioning you would be very difficult.

There are other factors too. Such as my imagination, or lack thereof, and my OC is currently undergoing a major redesign. But I believe I can speak for others when I say I really want to commission you, but times are just very complicated, to say the least.

Either way, I really hope for peaceful resolution of things soon.

I know there are several other artists I follow that are running into a very similar issue. Though I don't really see any rhyme or reason why some artists are struggling while others are selling sketches left and right. I guess saying things are complicated is a bit of an understatement right now.

Do the switcheroo. Start offering some super cheap cel-colored sketches, for like $20, $50, get your commission queue full, expand the number of followers, then ask them to boost your signal, and then close down the cheap slots and begin offering more expensive ones once you've got people interested?

Also you could try offering cryptocurrency payments. Best thing about them is that there are no cashbacks or payment reversals, and anonymity between parties is preserved.

Lastly - since you're so good with vehicles and tech, why not try to advertise your art on non-furry venues like DeviantArt?

You know I love your art and I'll buy when I can (next month) but not everyone can afford it. Did you think about payment plans? People would buy more when they pay 2 times 200 than 400 at once.
