Been a good week in a lot of ways since I wrote the last Journal entry so let's get into it again.
The Two Espeon pieces I've made as tribute to the AO3 fanfiction titled "Only Crystal" have been pretty successful as experiments and publishings. I've yet to receive any meaningful feedback concerning them, but we all know what that's about. I'm thinking the more effortful comments will come with consistent uploads and additional renown down the line, and even if they don't that's just the way it usually goes in these pictureposting forums, and I hate to say that I've more or less come to accept how consumeristically artworks are treated in these spaces.
I haven't looked very deeply at the general code of Commenting conduct in this websight, but I have a feeling this might not be the kinda community where we Actively encourage eachother to "Git Gud" at making pictures, which is fine, like, I get it it's cool.
Speaking of which, Only Crystal 2 (my upload) was the closest so far in what I actually really wanted to put on paper so to speak. In a lot of ways it's still lacking. but I'm fairly confident that those glaring errors will be rectified in whatever follows in its wake. I'm undecided whether or not I'm gonna continue with Espeons though, they still bounce around in the back of my head, and in my steamier daydreams, but I don't want to make any promises ;)
The two latest Espeons have been rather tame in comparison to what I've posted before, they're like kids cartoons when compared to some of the other content I've seen posted here. Now, while I do have an inclination for getting down and dirty with it, I hesitate and still think it's gonna be a while before I try going deeper into the NSFW hellhole.
When I look at Espeon tests 1 through 3, I experience the kindof Mortal Cringe that you'd get if (as a purely hypothetical example) my Mom walked in on my 15 year-old ass staring at a sex-scene in Mass Effect the first. I really just want to delete them, but in the interest of transparency over my development I'm keeping the trigger off the finger for now. You people still give them favorites too which is welcome, and kinda weird but then I remember that you have no standards which is funny to me.
Anyway, objectively speaking, Espeons 1 through 3 have extremely sub-par bodyknowledge backing them and it's painfully obvious and it hurts my guts to Look at them. In my defense however, I made those three really quick over a few hours but it just goes to show how truly ignorant I am about the Details of the craft that some take for granted around here. I don't wanna be like that. In addition, I'm just not horny enough to go that direction yet, and I really REALLY wanna make sure I've studied feline anatomy and the general mammalian proportionality to a satisfying degree before I give it an honest try. I hope that this suffices as an adequate explainer for why I really insist on doing the proper research first.
If that is the type of content that you're looking for from me, then I'm sorry to say that you'll have to bear with me for a good while longer. I won't hold it against anyone if they find my approach disagreeable, but I will not subject you or myself to sub-par "art" until I'm good and ready no matter what. (unless you wave 200 bucks in my face then I will absolutely reconsider because I'm hungry)

On another note I wanna acknowledge account related things.
The next upload is gonna take a bit of a backseat while I work on a non-pokephilia/furry related commission, I've been putting it off in favor of making Espeons AND so I can practice my digital picturemakings more comprehensively. Thanks to all of that hard work and your silent encouragement, I'm happy to say that we've reached a point where I'm eager to put the things I've learned here to the test. After that's done I can get back to planning the next thing for this webzone, please look forward to it. (When the unrelated commission is complete I will not be uploading it here because it would be too inconsistent with everything else.)
Once again, I'd like to give my sincerest thanks to the people who've dropped Favorites for the new and old experiments, it has been more encouraging than you know.
I'd also like to give special thanks to the new (Hi :3) and old (Sup) watchers, you know who you are and you have my gratitude.
