I think selling variants is fine, but there have been some designs where I liked 90% of it and desperately wanted to change 10%. I've been unsure about how much you'd be willing to change on an adopt, or whether you'd be amenable to a very different design from the same template/body base.

Yeah I get that. I'm thinking I might adjust my, well, "adjustment" prices (since at a certain point in the bids, people can request various types of edits.) I might change it so that it's at a set price (more expensive the greater the change,) rather than a set goal to reach?
I'm also fine with people commissioning a similar character/ species type! As pretty much all the species I 'make' are open source.
Does add another question though. I'm really glad people want some "eldritch" type content and all, but I'm slightly nervous to add things like Lipples, Multi Head, Tentacles, etc, since I know that's not everyone's cup of tea. Maybe I'll add that as it's own separate vote (like clothing and details.) Or just add it as something people can pay to add on?

I never actually played the game myself, but I have seen some lets plays! Could deff make for some interesting concepts... Especially since it sorta falls into the "goo" category, which I'm a fan of. Plus the general "Alien/ Monster" Aesthetic.

Most of the adopts I have are MLPonies and they were unique, not colour swaps that other people had. I was looking for some back ground pony designs for a few things I was attempting to illustrate, and that fit the bill.

I certainly like an awful lot of the pieces you come up with, although I must agree with 'Crown-was-taken', that sometimes it's a case of 'that's amazaing, except for the ---'.

I might suggest something like  jonfreeman does, an example: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/47073417/ , where he takes a theme and makes several variant characters around it. So you could do a 'drones', or a 'G-Cow' or 'G-Dragon', where you threw in the body-types/personalities, lipples, what-not, on one, but not all, so they are different characters.

Not sure if this is a helpful idea, if you dialed down the detail for at least the 'options available' it hopefully won't be a lot of wasted work.

Ye! I don't want to like, oversaturate things of course. Even if I do another G-Cow (Which I hope to do!) It'd prolly be done from scratch, and more "unique."

Oh, in his case he'll give a personality and once it's bought he'll do flat colour and it's a character you get. He never sells the same one twice, but he'll do a lot of 'similar variations'. It's essentially a coloured version of what's in the 6/8 pack.
