Ещë в 10-х годах XX в. на Kartfort Industries поступил запрос на разработку экскаватора общего назначения. В 1914г был пущен в серию паровой экскаватор Kartfort DigMaster 100. Модель была весьма надëжной и удобной в использовании - они производились до 1924г, но использовались до начала 60-х годов.
К началу 20-х паровая техника стала уходить в историю, а в 1923г Kartfort пускают в серию DigMaster 200, что отличался от предшественника дизельным двигателем вместо паровой машины. Эти ребята производились до 1942г, но эксплуатировались до середины 70-х гг.
К середине 30-х годов появилась потребность в экскаваторах более узких назначений: требовались как маленькие экскаваторы для тонких работ, так и большие для карьерных работ. На Kartfort снова закипела работа...
В 1938г в серию пошли DigMaster 400 и его уменьшенный вариант - DigMaster 450. Они производились до 1963г, но эксплуатировались до конца 90-х гг. Отдельные экземпляры можно встретить в работе до сих пор.
К началу 50-х гг потребность в больших экскаваторах только возрастала. В 1953г Kartfort выпускает DigMaster 500 с усиленной стрелой и увеличенным ковшом на 1 тонну. В это время на Kartfort шла активная работа над новыми моделями...
В 1958г выпускается небольшой экскаватор DigMaster 550.
В 1962г Kartfort представили настоящего великана - DigMaster 800.
Огромный экскаватор конструкции "Механическая Лопата", специально разработанный для работ в карьерах. Огромный его ковш вмещал в себя 50 тонн породы, а стрела длинною в 40м позволяла весьма удобно им пользоваться. Из минусов экскаватора было сложное управление - множество рычагов, разбросанных по всей кабине, доставляли много неудобств оператору, а также его немалые размеры и вес в 85т - великан мог застрять в тоннеле или сломать под собой мост.
Эти великаны производились до 1992г, большинство их до сих пор исправно трудятся благодаря их удивительной надëжности.
В 1970г в серию пошëл DigMaster 1000 - экскаватор средних размеров, а также его уменьшенный вариант - DigMaster 1100. Они производились до 2000г, многие из них до сих пор в строю.
В 1990г в серию пошëл новый гигант - DigMaster Atlant. Огромный шагающий экскаватор - дрэглайн весил 7500т, имел ковш на 200 тонн и стрелу длиной 100 метров. Производились они до 2010г, все экземпляры в работе.
В 1992г были выпущены усовершенствованные экскаваторы - DigMaster 1200 и DigMaster 1300. Их производство прекратилось в январе 2022г.
В 2005г в серию вошли DigMaster 1400 и DigMaster 1500. Производятся они до сих пор.

Back in the 10s of the XX century. Kartfort Industries received a request to develop a general purpose excavator. In 1914, the Kartfort DigMaster 100 steam excavator was put into production. The model was very reliable and easy to use - they were produced until 1924, but were used until the early 60s.
By the beginning of the 20s, steam technology began to go down in history, and in 1923 Kartfort was allowed into the DigMaster 200 series, which differed from its predecessor with a diesel engine instead of a steam engine. These guys were produced until 1942, but were operated until the mid-70s.
By the mid-1930s, there was a need for narrower excavators: both small excavators for fine work and large ones for quarry work were required. Kartfort is busy again...
In 1938, the DigMaster 400 and its smaller version, the DigMaster 450, went into production. They were produced until 1963, but were operated until the end of the 90s. Individual copies can still be found in the work so far.
By the early 1950s, the need for large excavators only increased. In 1953 Kartfort releases the DigMaster 500 with a reinforced boom and a 1 tonne larger bucket. At this time, Kartfort was actively working on new models...
In 1958, a small excavator DigMaster 550 was produced.
In 1962, Kartfort introduced a real giant - the DigMaster 800.
A huge "Power Shovel" excavator, specially designed for work in quarries. Its huge bucket contained 50 tons of rock, and an arrow 40 meters long made it very convenient to use it. Of the minuses of the excavator was difficult control - a lot of levers scattered throughout the cab caused a lot of inconvenience to the operator, as well as its considerable size and weight of 85 tons - the giant could get stuck in the tunnel or break the bridge under him.
These giants were produced until 1992, most of them still work properly due to their amazing reliability.
In 1970, the DigMaster 1000 - a medium-sized excavator, as well as its smaller version - the DigMaster 1100, went into production. They were produced until 2000, many of them are still in service.

In 1992, improved excavators were released - DigMaster 1200 and DigMaster 1300. Their production ceased in January 2022.
In 2005, the DigMaster 1400 and DigMaster 1500 entered the series. They are still being produced.
