PLEASE HELP- Cat needs surgery

Hi guys! I'm really in dire need of help, well, not me, but my roommate is.

"I am doing this attempt at fundraising to get surgery for my cat, after more than two years of postponing due to being unable to afford it. What first started as just a small spot on his eye quickly spread out to take up a lot of his iris, and given how aggressive the growth is I've gotten very concerned about it spreading to his brain, and have decided to try my best to do something before it's too late. The quotes I've received for the procedure range between 2000-3000$ CAD. Considering I've been unable to work for the past 7 years due to my health, I am nowhere near able to cover such an amount, and have to resign myself to asking for help. If there is anything you can do, be it to spread the word or make a donation, no matter how small, please do. This cat means the world to me, and I would be devastated if anything happened to him that I could have prevented in any way."

I, myself don't have nearly enough money to pay for the surgery, but nevertheless I'm doing my best to spread the work and give him as much help as my wallet can afford. this cat is an absolute sweetheart and it would pain me to see him go because of something that could've been prevented.
