Stranger Things might have referenced a summer camp
3 years ago
There was an episode of Stranger Things 4 that had a Camp Crosley poster which just happens to be a real summer camp that I went to when I was 10 years old in 1990 with a spiky-go-nuts mullet. That show hits me extra hard because I was a for-real '80s kid in the '80s AND it takes place (mostly) in muh native Indiana. Of course, the main characters - other than the "grown-ups" (spoken in Jello Biafra voice, and if you don't know who Jello Biafra is, I pity the life you've wasted) - were all born between the late '60s and the mid '70s, meaning that even the youngest of them are older than muh big bro.
Granted, there's a chance that the Camp Crosley poster isn't really referencing the camp I went to and they just picked a name out of a hat, not realizing that it just happens to be the real name of a real summer camp. Btw, there's a restaurant in a neighboring town that serves a sandwich called "Jason's Revenge."
