Yo what the hell? That's so not cool

Yeah, someone did that with one of my characters on F-List too. Unfortunately the staff are just so desperate for hits that they don't give a toss about the actual artists and commissioners and are more willing to look past it than to actually take it down when someone says "Hey, that's my stuff." >O>;

That's not at all true. I have people steal my art/characters all the time, I just send in a ticket and they're deleted within a few hours. They're very fast and helpful at getting that stuff removed.

I must have gotten the one arsehat who makes the entire site look bad then. They treated me like I was being a big baby and basically said that as long as the roleplayer's not trying to profit monetarily from misrepresenting my character and her interests, it wasn't something they cared enough to stop. The thief eventually took down the character page, but only after an acquaintance of mine mentioned they knew me and asked them if they had permission to use my girl. Must have spooked them out of it.

Wish I still had the documentation to prove my side of the story, but that experience honestly tainted my overall opinion of F-List and it's very unfortunate. I was thinking of making an account once upon a time but I guess it was good timing, I lack the energy to do the roleplay anymore anyhow. Better to pour my heart into my commissions and make my readers happy that way.

That's very weird and it sucks that happened to you. I've had to take down like three or four dozen stolen characters of mine and I've never had that happen, I've almost always got the same guy and he's always super helpful and quick about getting it taken care of.

I'm glad to hear that you've had much better experiences. Maybe I'll consider giving them another try in the future, maybe I just caught a newbie on a very bad day for them personally. And having official profiles might at least safeguard them from being used and abused, I'm just not ready for the time investment of upkeeping roleplay accounts yet.

If you haven't already, you can get it deleted by sending in an art theft ticket, they'll be removed within a few hours, I have to do that pretty often.

F-List is very, VERY good about takedown requests in situations like this.
