go to the contact info section of your profile and click on your twitter link
does the link work? does it successfully take you to your twitter profile?
because if you pasted the entire url into the field, it doesnt!
you are supposed to ONLY put your @ in that field, not the entire url

settings > contacts & social media > twitter > paste ONLY your @ into this field, not the entire url

or for the classic layout
my fa > account management > contacts/social media > twitter > paste ONLY your @ into this field, not the entire url

on the topic, if youre still using the classic layout and youre not aware of the modern one, it exists! it looks way better in my opinion!

my fa > account management > account settings > site layout/theme > template > change from "classic" to "modern" > confirm password and hit "update"

try that out!
