Why I haven't posted any new 3D screens here lately.
CUZ REASONS! REASONS SUCH AS:
1) I've gotten quite indecisive over a number of things, like color patterns or design. I don't like showing how flip floppy I've gotten, but I think I'm getting over it now....mostly.
2) Even though they're not particularly high quality by design, I kind of lost confidence due to how the eyes are done compared to some other people. So I try to fix it, only for most, if not all of it come out horribly weird when I push the pupils and the irises inward. OR when the shadows aren't working correctly. OR when the refractions (in blender 2.9) go wrong at certain angles. I gotta remind myself to take up someone's offer to talk about it. >.>
3) It takes a ridiculous amount of time setting up these screens. Is it really normal to take 30 minutes to an hour just to make a few screens??? My process doesn't take long to render at all. It's all the set up and cleaning up. And committing to any changes I do make when I save the file.
4) For certain ones I wanted to draw the character first before posting screens of that character. I see now I really should have just posted the screens and an animation demo I've made, like a year ago(?) now. x3x
5) I used to think I need to make presentable presentable randoms to add to the scenes. So I've been stuck not wanting to show just silhouettes and blacked out people props. That's a huge mistake. I cannot stress how much time it takes to build a head alone. >:U
6) To the least extent...a few characters I've made absolutely needs textures OR some edge cutting and I haven't gotten around to it yet. But again, it's only like 1 or 2 characters with this problem. Namely a black and white dairy bull and...........someone else.
7) Whenever there's a conflict between showing off or messing with the models, messing with the models wins. >3>;
That's all I can really think of at the moment. :O

I'll use this as an example from my own work: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43971873/
A complex scene like this, even with directional emissions, takes about 3 - 5 minutes. And, I can still do things on the PC while doing so that wont hinder or slow down the time.
I always tell anyone that wants to get into complex rendering, specially if anyone uses Bump/Normal/Displacement/Emission, to switch to VRAM and/or to a more compatible Video Card that can easily shake hands with the software. This goes for anything: Blender, Daz, Poser, SFM, Maya, zBrush, etc.
Blender should have the options somewhere, I'm sure. Sadly I dont use Blender often enough to tell you myself.
Though I am very curious about that new Eevee stuff.
Unfortunately, the UI is borked AF. SURE it'll work if you figure out that makes it tick, where the options gone to, get MORE used to using search commands, crafting a layer system for textures entirely through the node system, and probably mod in a new UI that is infinitely more sensible than this baby's first smartphone accessibility garbage for fat fingers...among other things. It's easier if you know how to work with Cycles Render, not Blender Render.
The UI alone is going to make you rip out your hair. It's so stupid! If you do get into Blender versions 2.8 and above, change the UI and the default settings immediately.
The UI alone has halted or impaired by ability to operate or learn anything in Blender, so much to the point I stick to 2.79b so that I can still make models and such with it. When I tried to suck it up to do this demo in 2.8 https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39986031/, I couldn't. Something is seriously weird or wrong about the light objects and I had 2.8 for like 2 or 3 years. So I went back to 2.79b to do the demo. x3x
It's practically why it's been hard for me to start learning. Cause outdated Tutorials mean outdated feature placements, where it's hard to find the feature being taught in the right places.
But yeah, I heard pros don't like Blender. Never dug into why, but after 2.8 I feeling it big time. x_x
