Artfight

━━━━━━━━━━━━ •✧☆☽◐☼◑☾☆✧• ━━━━━━━━━━━━ A few folks have been wondering why every year my commissions close mid-June, and typically don't reopen until mid-August. The answer is actually two-fold: my online shop is opening in August and I need to focus on that, and my favorite competition, Artfight.
Artfight is an art competition that sorts players into two teams. These teams draw the other team’s characters for points. Whichever team has the most points at the end wins. It’s a pretty simple game.
But why close down commissions during this time?
I use it as a time to practice new techniques, meet new people, and take a break from making art for profits' sake. It’s my chance to remember the joy art brings me, and it’s very important to me.
This Artfight I want to end the month with fifty new pieces and at least three new process videos, and this year what I’d like to improve the most is my contrast, as I believe it is lacking.
If you want to check out Artfight, this is my profile. I'll be focused on getting revenge first, so if you want art from me next month, you're probably going to need to fight me first.
See you on the battlefield, friends!
