Back indeed! from a long period of silence, and also a long weekend away visiting my parents for halloween. Wow, what a weekend it was too.
First, on the way up I got totally soaked by torrential downpours and flooding in the roads, so once I was there all my motorbike gear went straight on the radiators and in front of the fireplace to dry. Then I got roped into some crazy halloween party for kids at the campsite my mom works at. But I did carve some pumpkins, which I'll be uploading pictures of later.
The journey back was by far the biggest 'misadventure'. As the flooding became progressively worse over the weekend, I decided to set off before I became utterly trapped, and in my mad determination, rode through some of the deepest floods a cruiser bike has probably ever faced, at some points only able to see my handlebars! xD Scary stuff, but I'm back, dry warm and safe, so all is well, and hopefully I'll be uploading some drawings and other content in the very near future.
