Commissions + Lessons Learned

Merry greetings to you all! I hope the weekend is going well so far!
I admit I tried twice to use an audio recorder while working my day job to write this journal. While the transcript feature was pretty good, I ended up rambling like 30 minutes when a punctual journal would have sufficed. I could try it one day! Just need to stop myself from rambling so much haha!
So why a journal entry today? It's about commissions and lessons learned from them. I'll start by thanking so many of you. I didn't think my commission idea would catch on like it did; but now I have commissions from 3 of you out there, and even more lined up. Gift stories are also in the works! I can't thank you enough for entrusting me to write what you would love to see, and I am eager to get to those stories.
I could have gotten to them far sooner I admit. I wasn't careful with my ADHD self, and allowed distractions into my life. Some were important of course; family affairs, chores, doing paper work for work. But others just wasted time when I could have been writing those stories. Future advice; don't have telegram, discord, YouTube, and a friend's Picarto steam up all at once when you want to write. Multitasking is a myth!
You all deserve better. I want to ask more of myself. I want to do this as a potentially part-time or even a full-time job. So this week I'm going to treat it that way! I'm going to set aside time for writing; 1pm to 6pm EST every day that I can get it. My social media like telegram and discord can show the same in the profile bio too. A friend suggested I could even set aside a space like an at home office. I may try that, but for now just having the time will help.
I hope this week to have as much writing as I can get done. At least the commissions people have requested, and then I can try working on the gift art.
Thank you all for your patience, your understanding, and for supporting me too. I still say I don't deserve any of it, let alone the additional kindness you all show me. Be safe, stay cool during the summer, and I'll see you all next time!

I'm hoping by setting aside time I can find my groove. Also learning home office layouts might help me I admit. Organization was never a strong suit of mine haha. But I'll learn it! I'm eager to write for you and all, thank you again!
