Well there's always the classic button popping or belt snapping, clothes just being too big, getting caught on things like thorns or branches. Maybe some masterful swordplay is at hand, or someone's magic had a bit of a backfire. Heck, could even just have it be something more 4th-wall like, with some pesky eraser
