Hello, hope you all are well.
Got a few life updates and art updates for you all.
For one, I have...finally updated my queue, you can track your art progress there! I'm still doing a small overhaul of the set up for is but I'll outline the important things here.
For one, things that affect my current turnaround time being;
Work Schedule:
basically I'm a vet tech who works 10-11 hours a day. It used to be a solid 10 but now we're told that we can no longer leave just our closer in the hospital, so every night someone has to stay an extra hour or so during closing. Because of this, I don't get home until about 7:30ish some nights (I start my shift at 7:45am) which is fine in itself but gosh I'm so tired.
Laptop Issues:
I'm currently using my husband's laptop for art, until further notice. My laptop's power port needs to be replaced, which I just don't have the time to take care of.
is a good bean and is more than happy to let me doodle on his lappy. <3 Once that gets fixed, I'll be able to go ahead and continue working on my own again (and finally be able to play genshin, I'm not allowed to on here u.u)
Even with these two things, I'm generally able to get a ton of work done, when he's at work and when I'm home, it goes pretty well!
On a side note, there are sometimes weeks like this past one that ended up putting me out of commission a little bit, so I'm a little more behind than I'd like to be on art, but it's still going at a steady pace.
A family member passed last week, around the beginning of the week, and the funeral was today. I was unable to attend due to work, time and distance. Thankfully my brother kept me updated and represented himself as well as me.
On top of that, I was recently attacked in the clinic by an unvaccinated cat, which almost warranted a trip to the ER, as well as put my right hand out of commission for a couple days. Today I'm finally able to fully close my hand without any pain at all. I was scratched up really bad but had no cat scratch fever, nor did any teeth make contact with my flesh, so no rabies risk. Please vaccinate your animals!
It has been a roller coaster of a week but I hope you're all well. Commissioners, thank you for your continued patience, I'm eager to hop back into art on friday, my next day off!!
