We're back now after a bit over two weeks with Ero-energy to go at it again.
It's no secret by now that my time with Klonoa has given food for thought, and most importantly new materiel to work with. Like I said before, i have a hugely biased opinion about those games, they mean a lot to me on an emotional level and I hope some of you have or are considering giving them a chance.
Before I got to work on these new makes I struggled with some apprehension because I didn't want to let this work corrupt my relationship with the game and its subjectmatter, this irrational fear has since been dispelled because I realized I'm not an idiot so yeah we're good. Basically, whatever Klonoa is supposed to be has a very important attribute to go and that's sex-appeal, therefore we're going to exploit that for fun and clout.
Anyway, Let's talk about what we've uploaded so far.
Looking at Both K2Lewds it's fairly obvious that we're just using the same old methodology shared by the latest output from my Espeon days, What sets them apart a bit is that this time I redrew the frames from pencilsketches I made IRL. I feel like this afforded me the chance to let a bit looser with the linework since (try as I might) I can't seem to feel 100% perfectly in sync with my tried-and-true drawing technique even on a screentablet. Makes me wonder whether the problem is just lack of practice or sub-optimal program settings that makes the thing feel off. I'd hate to think that there is some inevitable "de-sync" with the machine that I just have to learn to live with, y'know instead of using the thing to enhance my drawing power. (If anyone has a take to give on this then I welcome it, I'm on a Huion Kamvas Pro 16)
The works themselves I feel have become standard fare for me, I think I'm getting better with color but There is improvement to be made in terms of rendering technique. In addition, I don't really appreciate the vagueness of our human anatomy, we could Iron out the kinks on both K2Lewds with a little more time, but I find I don't have the patience at the moment for extended frustration. You should know that I have a fair few more drawings left that I want to translate into Digital, and I also don't want to give in to my older perfectionist mindset so that's that. (You can probably tell just by looking that Klonoa got the least of my efforts on both Images, both pairs were produced on the day they were released if you exclude the IRL pencilwork)
I should add that it's kinda refreshing to work on humanoids. While Pokemon were still The thing for my brains I had a great time studying feline anatomy and depicting Pokephilia with Espeon, but as I've said often before; My Hyperfixations are fickle and I must follow their lead to their natural ends.
Back on topic, I'm thinking I just need to find some way to maybe improve what the Lineart needs to show so I can save time on rendering, now I said that out loud and realize with newfound clarity why so many of my favorite creators on the webzone settle for flat-shading, and instead focus on effective Images.
Being able to churn out more content more often (if I settled for flats) is the only justification I have in my head for this behaviour. Perhaps the time will come when I try a series like that, but I'm not going there until I'm done hashing out a fast and effective rendering method. If I can make acceptable work speedily, then I could make a lot of product that sells too which would be nice down the road.
Lastly, as per usual, I wanna acknowledge account related things.
The sad truth is that Klonoa isn't super well known as a franchise so I don't expect these new images to make a very big splash with the content-hungry crowds, but we're making them anyway because MY LIFE MY RULES
Somehow the favorites and Watchers still appear and I'm grateful for them, they are still encouraging me to try new things here and outside the website, that's really the best reward for my labor that I can think of next to funds to maintain lifestyle. I'll create a proper commission sheet etc when I'm ready to do so despite my peers suggestions.
It should be noted that I STILL continue to lust over Espeons. Every night, me and my trooper salute her passing fervently as she tiptoes in my dreams and beyond the umbral Noctiplains. Her rosy body and feline form compel me to give tribute in the one true way, I trust further elaboration is not needed (this time).
I give thanks to my watchers new and old, please look forward to more Klonoas in the near future. (buy the games too if you would be so wise)

FA+

I'm only hesitating because my own standards of quality are not satisfied by the output yet.
Are you sincerely of the opinion that I could find some support there?
Not gonna jump to Patreon on command or anything but I'll consider it for your benefit atleast.
