GTA 6 Will Have A Female Protagonist

And as you can imagine, a certain percentage of men are not handling this.
Seriously though, straight guys are the biggest god damn pussies in the observable Universe, Jesus Christ, like your dick's gonna fall off if you see a woman outside of the context of porn.
And more ridiculous than just that is some of the comments I've seen about this new tragedy. One such phallocentric dumbshit asked "Would a game like GTA really work with a female character, considering all the violent crime?" This is a wonderfully amusing comment for 2 reasons.
1) Are you seriously suggesting that women are incapable of violent crime? Have you never seen all those true-crime shows literally DEVOTED to the fact that women are the killers?
2) This question seems to tacitly admit that societal violence is inherently a male problem, but I doubt this ackassjay even realizes what he's done.
Another comment warns that this could just be the beginning and "what if they base it on pride...?"

And just this morning, in response to my comment from yesterday (in which I pointed out that there's probably no real agenda here and that women simply exist, which these guys ought to know since we spend a disproportionate amount of time debating their personhood in courtrooms and state legislatures, so them occasionally turning up in moves and games isn't actually very strange), somebody comes at me with "GTA IS PLAYED 99% BY MEN WHY WOULD I WANT TO PLAY AS A WOMAN D:"
Well probably because you just made that dumb shit up. Both of my sisters, my mother, and my sister-in-law love GTA. In fact my older sister and her wife love it way more than I do, despite me being a member of the apparent Chosen Sex. I stopped caring about GTA once they got past the arcadey, original games (A format they briefly returned to with the fucking awesome China Town Wars on Nintendo DS). They on the other hand have played them all. Am I willing to believe the game's majority demo are men? Sure. Am I willing to believe that fewer than MILLIONS of women have enjoyed those games? No, you boil on the ass end of life.
And just speaks to a conversation we have to have time and time of straight boys bitching and moaning that their game has a woman (Or a black guy, or god forbid, a black women). And I could, and should, get into a whole rant about how the radicalization of young white males has created an extremely dangerous debate in which they simply believe that all other varieties of human simply shouldn't exist anywhere, but for now I'll keep things and just point out that if your masculinity is so fragile playing as a female character in a video game is all it takes to compromise it then it sounds like you were already pretty god damn faggy to begin with.
Just suck a dick, get it out of your system, quit ruining life for useful people, and for god's sake, stop being such a fucking pussy all the time.

In one of them, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, you actually have the choice through character customization, but I stuck with the default female, and she's a lot of fun to play.
I don't recall ever hearing about this being an issue with, say, Tomb Raider. But then, the early games were before everyone and everything was on the Internet, and of course, the early Lara Croft was clearly designed with men in mind.
I'm trying to think of other earlier examples, but I get stuck at only coming up with Jade from Beyond Good & Evil. At least, when it comes to playing a role that involves fighting and stuff, the type of action some want to associate with men only.
Of course, I have one particular favourite in the form of Rivet in the latest Ratchet & Clank game. I don't think I've seen too many complaints about a female character there either, but of course, Ratchet himself is still there too.
Not sure if it counts the same way but an obvious, early source of playable female characters is fighting games. Back in the day they'd only ever have one token female character and then of course expanded to more over time. Not sure which one was the first to feature more than one. I know Mortal Kombat II introduced female. palette-swapped Ninjas in the form of Meleena and Kitana in 1993 but Super Street Fighter II also gave us Cammy in addition to Chun-Li the same year. Sonya Blade was unpopular in the first Mortal Kombat (Despite being considered a series staple, now) but while I'm sure being female played a role in that, I think most of it is that she was a legitimately weak character. Kitana and Meleena on the other hand were vicious and enjoyed decent popularity with players. And Chun-Li was always popular in Street Fighter since, despite her low damage strength, her speed was deadly. She's my main in the Street Fighter II family for that reason alone.
But yes there's studies that show that misogyny in the 90's, at least in America, was lower than it is now, since that was before the time that all the losery, unfuckable males of the world could all easily connect with each other via the internet. Same reason the entire world is gonna fall to fascist regimes sooner or later. Now that there's a concentrated effort to erase all non-straight, white males from culture and media, every female protagonist is treated as an attack on masculinity itself.
Men are trash, is what I'm saying, and always say.
I did forget about those fighting games, true. Because, well, to me they are very forgettable.
Hell, take the Simpsons. Arguably the funniest television show of all time (In its prime at least; pretty shitty these past, oh...15 years), and you're like "I can't stand that show." So, so many of our interactions are me mentioning something, anything, and you saying it's not your thing. To the outside viewer you don't like anything.
Everything fun and/or exciting, you don't like, and I can't help that. I can merely make fun of it.
