So, this was originally commentary I intended to post on the Comic, Resolution, by the late Vicky Wyman.

Cryosanthia was original a FurryMuck character, and every year I'd update her description and make her larger. She stared off the size of a dog and eventually grew to macro size. Initially, she was copper and silvery coloured, and also radioactive. As she got older and grew, the copper turned to verdigris, and the silver (technically gallium) tarshened to a matte black.
Vicky captured this perfectly with both the young/old designs, and the colour shifting.
On Tenebrae Mush, I remade her as a lizard folk, and wanted to lean into the 'Cryo' aspect of her name, so I made her have a white dragon heritage. As a nod to her FM days, she had scarification tattoos on her, which were black and would glow with a baleful green light.
As roleplay progressed, she got these aspects repaired and acquired other markings, essentially what and pale glacial blues. Her eyes are often described as sapphire gems.
For her Aeromorph version, I considered changes to make her look more draconic, or to request a colour change, and finally decided to let it stand. Her eyes were already blue, so that works as a nod to her earlier colour schemes, as well as her predominantly white design.
