just look at diablo immortal. the people running a "guide" website called maxroll chose to shut down their coverage of the game cause the devs were using their guides and research to further build and improve the monetization.

all the news coverage it got with live streamers warning against the monetization? all of them were useful idiots helping ADVERTISE and feed into the game. how? oh yes, let me spend 10's, if not 100's, of thousands of dollars to show people what's wrong with the game and why it's so bad.

good intentions, sure, but ultimately i was left wanting them to stop because that was only going to help the game and drive people to it.

the covid-19 pandemic? the mainstream media news outlets are now over one full year behind what is already known about the virus.

the gas prices? we just have to tough it out! tough it out till ukraine wins...against one of the largest countries on the planet... while our politicians flush all our money and resources into that war to keep it going perpetually to replace the perpetual middle east war zone.

and now, we have the democrats trying to redefine what an economic recession is. know how many times they redefined what a "vaccine" is before 2022? 4-6 times!

every time news got out that the vaccines were working less and less they'd redefine what a vaccine is and does.

the world has gone to shit and is completely insane.

and now we have pelosi going to taiwan and our mockery joke of a military that is compromised and woke is scared china might do something to her? what are we gonna do if they do do something to her? we're in no position to wage a war with any country and that's if the compromised treasonous traitors in our military don't just sell us out to china.

this is the world we now live in. it's all varying shades of brown, squishy, and stink really bad!

if there's one thing steam moderators and support staff have taught me very well across the past 4-6 years it is that the platform rules and guidelines mean absolutely nothing, you can be banned for literally ANY reason, and the rule of law on steam is thus: the first to be reported is the one who gets banned even if BOTH parties are breaking any...ANY of the platform rules and guidelines.

i even have one ban where the reason was left blank.

last time this happened it was for 12 weeks and make no mistake. this timer never decreases. so, when this expires and i inevitably rack up a few more bans in the forums...what's it gonna be? 3? 4 years?

discuss, not promote, the topic of piracy? ban

say a few mean words to someone? ban

be rude towards someone? ban

tell a chinese dev their game is booting to a black screen and not take any of their crap when they reply with taunts and insults? ban

Stearn Forums are run by speech fascists that act like they also work at Twitter or Reddit. I don't interact with anyone on Steam that's not on my friends list. And I also don't post comments on any of their boards unless it's for something that's not working right. And to be honest, I am surprised we haven't all been banned from FA considering the owner is a leftist.
