As far as I know It’s now just Koenig, Takei and Shatner left. That’s actually pretty good seeing as how the original show premiered 50 some years ago.

Shatner still look amazing at 90+ he'd look good for 70 !

Ah, such sad news. It was always great when they let her stretch her character on the show.
Just introduced my 9-year-old grandson to Star Trek last weekend when we watched two episodes from the original series.

I thought The Next Generation was pretty good after it found it’s footing. I liked Deep Space 9 well enough too. After that, meh. The latest movies are okay, IMO, but I dislike the way they broke the history.

I’m introducing the grandcub, not just to Trek, but to the sci-fi genre as a whole. Bought him Asimov’s “I, Robot” recently and he devoured it. Also gave him Arthur C. Clarke’s “A Fall of Moondust” and “Islands in the Sky” for his birthday.

Yeah, i started my life long pleasure of reading with azimov, when i was just a kitten. R.Daneel olivaw is why i will not fear ai and robots, when perhaps i should ;)

Asimov and Clark are a great introduction. My father had a subscription to 'Analog' when I was a kid. One of the first I ever read was the issue with Hawk Amount the Sparrows by Dean McLaughlin. I was hooked. I also loved Hal Clement's Mission of Gravity, it stuck with me all these years too. BTW: The illustration for Hawk by Kelly Freas is still a cracker.

I have a subscription to Analog... They are still printing it, and just finished a 90 year retrospective.

Now I need to remember to renew it.

I use a Kindle so I’ve been using Calibre and deDRM for the Ama**n version as an archive version for a couple years, no problem. Just don’t use the latest version of Calibre, it broke deDRM. I think you can get it as an epub direct from analogsf.com too.

That's very unfortunate. Nichelle played that character so superbly and was such an important part of the civil rights movement. May she rest peacefully.

Takei just did one of the voices in 'Paws of Fury' too, so still ticking along. Shatner will always be Shatner (looking good) and yet Koenig I have not really seen, but if he's producing, he wouldn't be acting...
