I just wanted to give an update...

Dad's in rehab now, and looks like he will be for the next 2 months at least.
I talked to the doctor today, he said there's a chance he'll be well enough to return home.
So..that's something at least...

There had already been early stages of dementia before the stroke, that's irreversible of course...
But the aftermath of the stroke and the acute delirium, the confusion and disorientation may still go away.
His motorics aren't heavily affected to begin with...

Since he is in rehab now and we can't visit that often, I went back to my apartment in hamburg to start packing up. Arrived yesterday, there's a heatwave currently. I've started carrying boxes up from the basement and packing up all my stuff..
Plan is to move back to where my parents live so I'm around and can help if it's necessary.

I'm not doing so well
Feeling rather crestfallen about the situation, despite the...at least not negative news.

I fear this is going to get much worse before it gets any better.

I apologize for the continued lack of content, but I just can't do it for now.
