I've wanted to get a comish from you for ages since you art is so lovely, but afraid the pricing is always quite a bit out of my range. Not that I'm saying your work isn't worth the prices you charge, it is! Just that its a bit too much for me to afford on a single piece.

As for the drop in popularity, I'd guess it may be the prices mixed with the world right now (whole virus situation, a recession coming up) people are less likely to splurge out on stuff unless they really need it or its like really REALLY cheap. I dunno though.

Hm would really depend on what is in the image really?

If its just one character on their own with no background or anything and its a full body, the MOST I'd pay for it is like...$100? The $50-100 range is what I've seen from most artists and that fits well. For more than $100 are ones where it would have to have a background or multiple characters or be like a sketch page/comic, of which the most I've ever paid/been willing to pay is like $160? I haven't ever gotten a commission yet that is over $200 since that is quite a hefty chunk of change, and the only way I'd be spending that much on a single piece of art would be something really BIG or impactful...

Personally it has been the cost of inflation in my province. Gas has gone up from $1.30 to $1.80, and groceries have gone up as well basic things like milk, butter eggs and bread have all gone up a couple dollars each too since February. While individually this is not a lot, combined it has meant average weekly expenses are up close to $150 which has had an impact on the funds I set aside for purchasing art and other luxury goods.

As much as I want to support and purchase commissions from artists this increased cost of living over the past year has simply made it much harder to do so.

I mirror the other answers, I might not have ever commissioned you (yet!) but prices of everything in my area is going up and up and work recently has cut my hours a little so I haven’t been able to get the pieces I’ve been wanting for a while. I know that Canada and the US have been quite bad lately in terms of its inflation of prices from gas to groceries to everyday items. It’s not great times at the moment.

Personally I don't do commissions that don't offer payment via PayPal as a payment option. It's hassle free for me and gives me some kind of security should smth happen.

i enjoy your work but as of recent stuff going on i need to buy you've just been out of my budget but i love the recent ych's. if there wernt other things i needed to buy art wise i would go for them.

I love your stuff I just can't afford it, even at 120 it'd take me around a year to have that much. Especially with rent food and gas going up recently in US
