Hi, fellas, how have you been?

I have been noticing that my artworks are receiving way fewer favorites (sometimes comments) 🤔 I feel like furaffinity has been a bit "quiet" for me overall. Is that happening with you as well?

Not complaining, people are obviously allowed to not enjoy my last artworks or not feel like commenting! Just curious tbh because my spouse is feeling the same about having like, less traffic in FA recently.

You're not the only one who thought about that.

I'm very much on the same boat from not getting very much comments/faves lately. This is especially an issue when I'm trying to sell my current adoptables which haven't been sold yet.

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation ): it really sucks if that's your main place for sales- I'm sorry for the time it took me to reply, past month was very busy. I hope your adopts sold better during that time!

Yes I think so- I started getting more feedback on twitter at the same time It declined here so that'd make sense. I think twitter is easier to manage but FA is better for browse art!

I've also seen more artists creating channels on telegram, that might also be playing into it

It has been a lil quiet, but also have to remember there have also been a lot of conventions and events happening as well. I don't imagine many people to be trafficking the site during those times.

Its hard to say, but I do agree with the other comment about a lot of conventions happening right now, so that might be one reason why there hasnt been too much activity. While not quite the same I have noticed that even my streams have been pretty bare as of late, so it might just be an end of summer thing. Hopefully things will pick up again in the fall.

Yes that actually makes sense, specially about the conventions! Big part of my audience is from North Hemisphere, so I actually get quite lost because it's a total different cycle from mine x'D

Definitely the same for me, I used to get all of my business from FA but now I barely get commissions here! Most of my business comes from Twitter nowadays

I feel exactly the same, twitter has been giving me a way better feedback recently, I wonder if there was a migration or smtg. But I'm glad you are getting commissions regardless of the place! ´ v `//

i may be watching too many accounts to count but sometimes FA is either dead quiet or theres 500+ submissions

Because of the great twitter clout chasing migration. Which is a TERRIBLE place for hosting art when its drowned out by people posting reaction memes, their food, video game screenshots, etc. making finding the actual art a fucking nightmare

I've been getting more feedback on twitter for a while, indeed.
Twitter is easier for me to manage but it's indeed not meant to be an art gallery, as I prefer to browse for art on other sites as well. It would be nice if twitter would let you organize your media tab in folder or so!

Though i feel like i'm missing out on if theres any other main gallery people are using.

I've been posting on twitter first as it's easier for me to handle, but I try posting all my public art to FA as well, just a bit late because it requires more time and attention!

I found the same thing happening with my own uploads. But do not take my roue. I Simply gave up uploading as the effort was not worth the continuously diminishing returns.

It has seemed rather quiet on FA for awhile now. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's certainly noticeable. Twitter is probably where many have gone as a more social place except Twitter is horrible as an art gallery. It'll balance out somewhere. Try not to worry much on it and continue doing what you are.

Oh yes- not really worried, more like curious!
I always upload my art on twitter first because it's easier for me to manage, but I agree it's totally not meant to be used as an art gallery, that's why I keep posting everything on FA as well, just a bit later as it takes longer to upload.

A lot of people are scared to comment on anything for any reason because of various dramas and censorship and "fragile artists" and "comment anxiety" and whatnot else over the years.

It's just natural I think? If something isn't worth your time/effort, there's no reason to insist on it, so no worries about being "part of the problem"! thank you for all the faves though and for the feedback comment! sorry for the time it took me to reply, I've been quite away from FA as well and have been pretty busy last month

Feels like a lot of the artists I follow dropped off on commissions in general since the beginning of the pandemic. Posts/art seem less frequent outside of the same couple people now

Shame because it doesn't seem much better on twitter, maybe it's not exclusively an FA issue

I don't really recall how the pace of things was before the pandemic anymore :'D
but I've getting an increase of feedback on twitter at least, so I thought it was a FA issue, but maybe it's not!
